Kingsland is a great little establishment, one of my personal favourites. The venue is fairly basic in terms of decor and service, however, the food is great, quick and tasty. Great value for money!

The Assam fish is awesome but other dishes we tried were under-spiced. Service is amateurish at best, well intentioned but not very efficient. Prices are low which makes it very good value despite the service hiccups.

I love this place, very relaxed. Definitely not fancy but the food is good and even my meat lover friends thought the food was good. Recommend it to anyone.

Kingsland is currently the only completely vegan restaurant in Canberra (vegan means that no animal products are used). There is a huge choice of Asian-style dishes with creative use of vegetables, tofu and mock meats. Most of the time you can just forget that it is supposed to represent an animal body part and enjoy it as the food as it is.

We prefer the tofu dishes and there are plenty of those to choose from. The stir fried lemongrass tofu is a tasty dish to be savoured, as is the pan fried eggplant. There is free tea on arrival, the staff are very friendly, and prices are affordable. There are lots of gluten free options, clearly marked on the menu.

I go to Kingsland once a month, there is a ever changing management by the looks of it, the current guy is a bit of a bother when eating in, about a month ago I was eating in with a group of friends, he rearranged a fruitbowl for 15 minutes and was highly nervous that my friends and I wondered what was wrong with him, having said that, I love getting take away from there, its good food, same standard and they give it a good shot in terms of service and value for money which can't be said from many places!

If you like mock meats, this is the place to take the meato's. They also do some mean tofu dishes and have steamed brown rice. The menu has not changed as far as I can tell from the last 2 years, but whats there is tasty. Love the wontons, good tea selection and green tea is free of charge at the moment. If you want to try something new, this is a good place and regarding prices, I never pay more than 50 for take away so I think its good priced.

There aren't many Vegetarian restaurants in Canberra. There's one down in Tuggeranong, one in Belconnen, and there's one in Dickson - the Kingsland Vegetarian Restaurant.

I ordered, and, after a short wait, I was astonished to find that the reasonable meal prices were complimented by reasonable meal sizes. I ate my fill, ordered from polite and prompt staff in a relaxing environment and was impressed overall at the value.

Honestly, I am going to Kingsland since late-2003. Previous owner had all prices, quite reasonably. In 2004, when new owner took over, since then menu prices started climibing drastically. Every year, prices are reviewed 3 times (all the time going-up) against other restaurants changing once (rarely twice). Any explanation can be given? Also why this restaurant owner does not want to join in Vegetarian restaurants group OR Privileges network? Then customers can get 10% or so discounts from such heavy bills. Few items, you are paying $70 bill. Food is good, but price is too high.!

I feel that the food is good and the service is very prompt and friendly. I will sure go there when I visit Canberra for lunch before heading home. The Assam fish is a must try.
