More a take-away cafe with brisk lunchtime business. We sat down to lunch on Tue 29 Jun 2010. We savoured soto ayam (spicy chicken soup) and chicken laksa. Tasty and flavoursome. Soto ayam would have been better with ketupat (compressed cooked rice cubes), rather than just bee-hoon. Reasonably priced. Staff were polite and pleasant.

This is the most authentic Indonesian restaurant in Canberra, and while I'm far away from my mother go here for the next best thing to homemade. They offer a wide variety of delicious lunch boxes (including vegetarian options), which are a great value and regularly sell out (call ahead!). The sate, rendang, and lumpia are particularly delicious. It's hard to believe but they are so popular that they can sustain the business only being open from 11 am - 3 pm 5 days a week.

I've also had Indo Cafe cater a birthday party, and it was an excellent value.
