We visited Hogs Breath Cafe based on previous good experiences in the restaurant. This was a mistake: slow service, average food in overpriced and small servings.

We had rung beforehand to confirm that gluten free options would be available. We were assured they were, but on arrival found that this is not the case: 'low gluten' is what they now offer.

After some debate we elected to stay. My daughter ordered the calamari rings, which proved to be a very small serve far outweighed by the salad included in the cone shaped server, certainly no mention of salad in the menu.

The steak was average at best, lacking flavour. When we raised these issues with the senior staff, it was all blamed on a new menu having been introduced earlier in the week. And dare I mention the never-ending TV show of bike and skateboard crashes? Never again.

I have been to the Hog's Breath in Civic and the food has always been super so thought I would try the Woden restaurant. The restaurant is so stuffy and has a very unappetizing odour of cheap airfreshener, it was really disturbing so we sat outside but it got too cold so we sat as close as we could to the door. The waiter was really attentive (we were the only people there) and drinks and appetizers came in very good time.

Mains also came in good time but mine had a hair in it. He didn't offer us a replacement meal and I left hungry and mad. I will never go to the Woden restaurant, it stinks and the staff are very unhelpful and unconcerned about the customers' satisfaction. For that price you surely should be able to make a complaint without losing out on your food. Hair in food is unacceptable.

Will never go there again! The dining room was not overly busy but it took forever to have our orders taken and for the food to arrive. The food sat too long before the waitress brought it to the table, so it was no longer hot. The kitchen seemed to be trying to get the servers to pick up the food, but it wasn't happening for whatever reason.

We could not get the attention of any of the waitstaff to save our lives. They were too busy walking past the tables as fast as they could in order to avoid dealing with customers.

The ladies room was in terrible shape, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in some time. No soap to wash hands with, paper towels all over the floor and clogging one sink, stall door did not close on 2 of the stalls.

The dining room was dark and loud, the staff were completely inept, the food was (in my opinion) overpriced and mediocre at best.
