Had lunch with wife last week. We experienced the worst service in Canberra. Roast duck tasted like days old. Questioned to the owner regarding the food quality but she's extremely rude and refused to help or provided any solution to satisfy customers. Never go back.

Some very good dishes, unfortunately, marred by disinterested service and tables crammed next to each other. It is worth visiting, but only if you know what to order and are not looking for a place to stay and talk.

We popped in here early evening on a saturday night. Down from Sydney for the Renaissance Exhibition. Anyway, we loved our experience. The service is fast and typical of a chinese/asian eatery. So within minutes of ordering it all comes out and in any order.

Delicious and plenty of it. Had to ask for chilli paste, soy sauce and vinegar on table. We got there early and found a seat straight away but by 7pm it was filled up and still people were turning up. So book if you really want to go.
Would we go back? Yes, most definitely!

Bad service, they clear the water glasses before the guests can finish! And we went with interstate visitors who are food critiques.

Also just beware if you pay cash, the cashier forgot to stamp our bill as 'paid' and when we were leaving asked us to pay the bill, again! And didn't make apologies for the poor mistake they made either. Bad form. We won't be going back there any time soon.

A rare Chinese restaurant offering several kinds of delicious vegetarian dumplings. The Dumpling House serves hot, fresh food in generous quantities at reasonable prices. The service isn't brilliant, but the food more than makes up for it. The pan-fried leek dumplings and salt-and-pepper tofu are delicious vegetarian options.

Beware of MSG though - an earlier review states there's none, but we've been told differently.

Was disappointed by the selection and found it over priced for chinese. Arrived hoping for Yum Cha but no yum cha so chose from the menu and found the dumplings very over priced. Food was nice but didn't really stand out but it wasn't unpleasant, however, the staff were not friendly or welcoming but they did their job.

We recently decided to go to the Dumpling House specifically for steamed dumplings. The menu while varied overall, was very disappointing with regard to this. We didn't end up ordering anything in the way of dumplings, and instead ordered a well known mongolian lamb and fried rice. The mongolian lamb was an amazing surprise. It was very tender and tasteful. The fried rice was what you would expect from a good asian resturant. The waiter was friendly and the service prompt. We will likely go back again, but not in a hurry.

Went here on a recommendation. Service was slow and waiters more interested in talking to each other then taking our order. Dumplings were not bad but not great. I would try the fried dumplings before the steamed as the steamed were soggy and flavourless.

Lunched here today. Feasted on a platter of combination dumplings, sizzling tasty Mongolian beef and Szechuan prawns that were fresh and crunchy, served with steamed rice and traditional jasmine tea. The service was prompt and the meal was delightful. The restaurant is popular with the local Chinese, so this must be an endorsement of the authenticity of the food.

We love this chinese and go here or the italian Cafe Ravello (also in Dickson) whenever we have a night we just don't want to cook! We have tried quite a few restaurants in Dickson and this is one of our faves. Large menu, never been disappointed with our choice. Very good for groups too. Service can be a bit variable but food is always great. (Incidently before I moved here I really didn't like chinese food, this place has turned that around!).
