Oh dear, based on some of the other reviews, we must have got the kitchen staff on a bad night. The setting is pleasant, however, that is where the positives stop. The service was slow, I had to go inside and request attention. However, the big disappointment of the night was the food. I ordered the lamb tagine, I have never had a more bland meal. If there was any spice in the sauce, then it was not obvious to me. And my companions were equally disappointed. My wife said that her duck tasted like it had been cooked earlier and then reheated, my son said that his steak was tough. Overall, a night to forget.

Unfortunately I took the family to lunch there today, Saturday Feb 5. 45 mins for food to arrive after ordering and just to add to the frustration, a table of 4 coming after us received there order and paid their bill. Meanwhile we were still waiting. Apologies don't cut it, neither do excuses like 'the kitchen is busy' or later 'the kitchen is at fault they lost the order' etc... etc.. Food itself was also ordinary but looked pretty. None of us bothered to finish the meal. Conclusion - try elsewhere.

A very ordinary experience. I ordered a small beef salad and for $17 I got for four kipler chips, more rocket than anyone would want to eat in one sitting, a few pieces of roasted pepper and some slices of beautifully cooked gristle. It was not a great meal. Others in my group had better food, but nothing was outstanding.
The service was also quite poor. After sitting in front of empty plates for well over half an hour I got fed up and stacked them to give the staff a hint. After they passed our table a few more times they got it. Tea and coffee afterwards was also a disappointment. One of our party ordered a Cappuccino and I ordered a tea. No milk or sugar came with our order and although we asked, it never turned up. All up a disappointing experience.

My partner and I are regular patrons of this restaurant. We love the food here and the service provided by the waiters is excellent. The menu changes every now and then which makes it fun to try out the new dishes. So far we could not fault the things that we have tried here and we loved it all. The dishes are creative with excellent balance of flavours.
The tapas, breakfast menu, light meals and dinner meals are all excellent. Highly recommended. The only downside is that the acoustics of the restaurant is not very good, hence, it can be very difficult to hold a conversation across the table on busy nights.

If Delissio Brasserie reflects the standard of dining experiences in Canberra then they have done their state proud! We were down from Sydney to view the Masterpieces from Paris at the National Art Gallery and were surprised and impressed by the great all round dining experience at this restaurant.
The Menu had so many interesting and delicious options, the tapas were a great alternative to the standard entrées. The Szechuan Calamari with sticky mandarin dressing and pickled cucumber salad was absolutely divine. The best calamari I have ever tasted! I couldn’t flaw it, it was a perfect course.
The Duck Breast seared with a balsamic and cherry glaze was ok, the sauce a little artificial. The Parmesan Pizza Crusts with roast garlic and rosemary salt were a very tasty alternative to the standard bread offered, and was delicious.
The main(s) were in contrast with the entrées and mine lacked impetus. While the porterhouse fillet was a fine cut, it was not cooked as requested and lacked seasoning. The advertised chat potatoes were replaced by a potato stack which was a little disappointing.
I regret not trying the: “Slow Roast Chicken tender breast fillet filled with herbed
pistachio mousse, sautéed wild mushrooms, sticky port jus and goat’s cheese gnocchi”. I really enjoyed the Cabernet: Hirsh Hill Estate Yarra Valley, VIC.
The service was outstanding, they were accommodating, efficient, friendly yet non-intrusive. The quality of food for the most part and overall service felt like a class above the standard Modern-Australian restaurant available in Sydney. However, like many restaurants currently the Main(s) appear to be the let-down. I would be more inclined to consider my poor main was more the exception than the general rule, as the food was at a high standard elsewhere. My partner’s risotto was nice but nothing special.
I would certainly consider this restaurant in future trips to the nation’s capital. In fact I would be easily swayed to drive down for the day just to enjoy the great tapas particularly the Szechuan with some great wine.

Not the cheapest of eats, but flavoursome nevertheless. Just get the Linguini Oceana and you won't be disappointed.

Dinner by myself on travels. Was put off a bit that the first thing I'm told was that 1 of the specials is not on, 1 of the regular dishes is not on and 1 has substitute ingredients. Not too worried by this as it can mean lots of fresh ingrediants and they have run out. But I did want to try to willy scollops. Anyway so I can't tell you about that :-)
I ordered the scotch fillet with hickory smoked tomates, kiffer pots and rocket (yeah I didnt get the rocket bit). Was a very good steak and in the middle of winter getting that Hickory smoked flavour reminds me of warmer summer evening BBQs :-) Service was acceptable but nothing special. Food was good but not going to set the world on fire.
All in all - a good place and it was fairly busy for a Monday.
