Relaxing place with above average food for a bar.

Food: The meals are way tooooooo big. Though I guess some people like this, I just felt wasteful. The food tastes pretty good.

Ambience: Relaxed and easy going.

Service: Staff are friendly and always there when you need them.

Value: Little on the pricey side for what it is.

There is a lot written about this restaurant - being historic (opened in 1926) and winner of best Family Restaurant 2010. We went there for breakfast any it was not good. The coffee was weak and not enjoyable - they boast a Mediterranean influence and yet they can't make a decent coffee! The service was good however, despite a the frantic time of day - with everyone seeming to breakfast out in Canberra. The Eggs Benedict was pretty average - and its one of those places that you have to butter your own toast. What are we coming to - soon we will have to put it in the toaster. For the price charged at this establishment, I was quite disappointed and could not recommended it to anyone who enjoys good food.
