I agree with 'The Canberra Pizza Critic'. The best pizza in Canberra. I've tried lots of pizza's in Canberra and often have been very disappointed esp with several places in Kingston. La Posada has great pizza at very reasonable prices.

Good if you want a lot of calories and not much flavour. We had a $17 napolitana pizza with cheap olives and not many anchovies. The thin crust was ok, but would have been much better with good (or reasonable) quality ingredients.

Hideous pizza. It is hard to make woodfired pizza badly but these people succeeed. Too thick, too sloppy, too much stuff on top. Just awful.

Came here on Friday night. We had booked a table which was probably a good idea as the place is quite busy and noisy.
The service was prompt, no problems there. Wait staff looked a little disinterested but we were served, and had our meals delivered efficiently. We had the Giro Italia, which is a serving of cannelloni, a serving a schnitzel and a portion of lasagna. It tasted Ok.
We also had a osso bucco which was a Huge serving. 3 pieces of beef osso bucco and heaps of potato, carrot and celery plus 2 slices of bread. It was the size of two mains. Once again, the taste wasn't bad, just nothing to get too excited about.
The kids bolognese looked Ok, but the pasta was cold when I tasted it 15 minutes after it was served. Maybe the sauce was warm. My son ate it anyway.
Perhaps, the osso bucco could have been half the size and half the price and I would have been more enthusiastic. I prefer veal osso bucco to beef osso bucco. Price was Ok for the amount of food.

I used to be a big fan of this place, but the last few visits in the last couple of years have been less than satisfactory. On the last visit, and it will definitely be the last.
The service was absolutely disappointing, the bread order took over 50 minutes, when finally arrived the order was wrong and it arrived with the main meal, we had to ask for wine glasses, an ice bucket and even serviettes! The last straw was when the obviously untrained and very rude waitress came and took the parmesan cheese from our table to give to someone else without even asking if we had finished with it!
I used to be happy taking interstate guests to La Dolce Vita, but never again, you would think they would pick up their game especially when this type of business would be struggling to keep customers in this ecconomic climate!

Maybe if we had wanted to dine in the middle of a noisy nightclub our experience would have been a more enjoyable one! My partner and I have not been to Belluci's for a few years so were expecting a Restaurant. Shocked on arriving at the level of noise and the atmosphere, we were taken to our table for two which was stuck in the middle of the room between two big tables where big groups of people were celebrating a hen's night and a birthday.
Discussing whether to leave and find a more traditional venue we chose to stay (against better judgement). We noted all the tables for two were scattered between bigger tables (rather than to one side allowing for conversation). We also witnessed Threee couples leaving within minutes of being seated at tables! We had to shout at each other to be heard, the waitress had to shout at us to be heard, in fact everyone in the joint was shouting at each other!
We dealt with several waiting staff during our evening. One or two were pleasant enough, although one of them asked my partner if he wanted black pepper, and she obviously could not hear his answering "yes" over the noise and so she walked off! One waitress actually commented on the level of noice and seemed to be struggling to keep her voice. One waitress was wearing a shirt too small for her and as a result the buttons were popping open leaving a clear view of her bra and her stomach hanging out!
The general tone of the "restaurant" was sloppy. Food nice but difficult to appreciate in the circumstances. Overpriced. Should not use the word Restaurant in their advertising, it is misleading. Perhaps, they should stick with the Bar. Upon leaving my partner asked another waitress whether it was "always like this?" and she responded with a "Yeah! Always! And Sunday is even worse!" and I explained that it used to be a Restaurant and that we were surprised.
She then informed us that she would never again offer to work Melbourne Cup day as it was terrible. She never once apologised to us for our experience. She did, however, give us a run down of her feelings about working there. Rude! Her little rant just further confirmed that we will never return. Not a Restaurant by any stretch of the imagination.

This review is for the Sub-urban bar attached to Belluci's Dickson. I never thought it was even possible to get BAD service at a pub. All you want is to buy a drink right?? I brought a group of friends & colleagues there on a quiet Friday night to have some drinks & wind down after a busy week. Instead we were given the most obnoxious, offensive service by a "bar maid" I have ever experienced in my life. We ordered 2 desserts (which we were told must be eaten in the Sub-urban bar side of Belluci's as the resaurant was closed )Not a problem! We had wanted some drinks anyway. After 40 mins, my brother politely asked if our order could be chased up. The "bar girl" instead went to chat with her friends on another table! So after 15 mins we were told the kitchen was closed because it was a quiet night (couldn't they have told us that when we ordered?!)We opted for a refund. 15 mins after that the same "bar girl" arrived with our 2 plates & proceeded to roughly 'throw them on the table'. WTF?! I thought the kitchen was closed?! Anyhow, we were all in good spirits so ate the desserts & continued our night. She appears again, this time to clear the plates, however, this time she spills half a drink (from someone else's table) onto my brother!!! Instead of apologising, this girl then has the gall to add the sarcastic comment of "thanks for the smiles guys". WTFFFFF??!! We had been more than accepting of her incompetence the whole evening & then she proceeded to spout some smart alec comment. Wow!! Belluci's has sure fallen far in the staffing stakes....Never again. Far more drinking holes in Canberra to frequent who actually want customers...

The only great thing about this place was the pizza - really thin crust and plenty of topping. The service was pretty bad - we didn't get everything we ordered and the food took much longer than it should have (why can't waiters just write things down?). The special (zarzuela) featured some great seafood, but was smothered in bland (and probably canned) crushed tomatoes. The side salad an awful concoction of unpleasant vegetables coated with a greasy, flavour-free dressing. Very overpriced for such low-quality fare.

You pay for what you get and more and more want something for nothing, but I have had great food at apk several times pizzas are individual and you will need one each but everything is fresh and made by the restaurant its a great family place and kid friendly too.
Main meals in the city for $20 and drinks the same as ever where else, Tap water is self serve but its not a 5 star place and waitress is friendly but not going to put a napkin on your lap. Genuine great and reliable. Try a smoked chicken or marinated lamb pizza.

I went to LaRustica on a saturday night as it was recommended by a friend. it was very busy when we arrived but we were promptly seated, it did, however, take a while to get a waiters attention so we ordered drinks and food at the same time. I had the calamari for entree with my partner having the octopus. Both were great, I was disappointed with the look of mine as it look like packet deep fried stuff but once bitten into it, it was obvious it was not.
I then had the pollo chicken with mushrooms and creamy white wine sauce and my partner has a steak. Both were cooked to perfection and throughly enjoyed. Despite already being full we ordered dessert, for me vanilla bean and hazelnut icecream and for him profiteroles. The profiteroles were enormous and so delish! the icecream was also housemade and was reflected the taste.
All over a very good experience, the only disappointment was the service. Understandably it was lax during the busy period but it did not improve as the night went on, with the staff much preferring the chat behind the counter. Wasn't enough to put us off returning though.

Quite good food for takeaway. Good value and quick service. Not really the place to settle in to eat. Although, there is a reasonable outside area if you really want to hang around. No large bottles of drinks, max 600ml. Large bottles available from Woolies but not cold.

I'll say this upfront-, Belluci's charges exorbitant prices for the quality of the food presented, and hasn't inspired me to return. Our favourite Italian restaurant in Braddon uses far superior ingredients, a woodfired oven, and has a far more interesting menu.
The service was average, slow would be a polite way to put it, with the mains taking 45 mintues or so to reach our table on a Monday night. The pasta dishes showed promise, with the marinara and ragu sauces providing some good punchy flavours, but the pasta was overcooked, and serving sizes were visibly inconsistent between plates. Probably just the result of an apprentice without an eye for detail, but inexcusable at $28-$36 a main.
Belluci's Dickson is probably a great place for a few drinks, but there are far better value Italian restaurants in Canberra. Try somewhere else.

Very average, with no competition around I guess management feels there's no point in fixing the place up or improving service/quality.
