We had a fantastic evening. Food throwing is not our thing, and our wishes not to be covered in food were politely respected. We ordered Izakaya a-la-cart, lobster tail, fish and chicken, accompanied by mixed vegetables and rice. We also ordered 4 soft drinks and small sake all for 120.00.

The service was gracious and the serving size generous. Food was fresh and cooked beautifully. It was a delight to watch the Japanese chef work his skillful art. There are two Teppanyaki cook tops, each serving about 10-12 people with tables on the side for kitchen meals. We arrived at 6.45 and were asked to wait 15 minutes for the current setting to finish, but it wasn’t until 8.00pm that the chef started with our food, but at least we had entertainment during the wait.

We didn’t find the ventilation a problem, when you get that close to the cooking there’s bound to be a bit of “after smell”.

Food overall was great! Service was knowledgable, and trying to be attentive, although they were simply understaffed.

Food was terrific, service was prompt and attentive. Was able to enjoy a good meal with drinks and make it out within lunch hour. Prices are a bit exxy but it is matched by the quality of the food.

Where do I start. The arrogant waiter chastises a waitress infront of customers within two minutes of being seated. The drink order takes minutes to complete as the waitress speaks barely any English, insists on using a handheld electronic device she cannot operate so that three times I must reopen the drinks menu and show her again. 15 minutes later she returns to ask whether my entree is an entree or a main meal. 30 to 40 minutes later entrees come out.

Wagyu beef was nice but skimpy serving for $20. My beer is done and must finally call over the waitress to order another..at $8 each!. More than an hour passes before I complain about lack of meals while all around us people who arrived later than us are eating.

Finally, the boss man comes out and lets us know that our meals are being prepared now and it won't be long. Fish is by far not the freshest I've tasted. Sushi rice was gluggy and grainy, presentation of sashimi and sushi was below the standard of even Sushi Train. Even had to ask for wasabi which I was for some reason given two tubs of by two different waitresses. A nightmare of a dining experience.

Worst japanese I have ever had by far. Sloppy service, horrendous decor, sub par food. I could go on forever.

Great experience! the fish was delicious and generous portion. The service was great and friendly. Prices reasonable. Will def. go back there!

Loved the food. We had a few entrees and the pork hock was to die for, passed on dessert and ordered another plate. The lamb massaman curry was superb! The waitresses and waiters didn't miss a beat! Really couldn't find fault with anything.
