Cafe Pronto has turned into one of my favourite spots to lunch. They have a creative menu and enough variety so you can try new things every time. I love the home made sauces and the coffee, I have never had better.
There are nearby cafes that are more expensive, pay less attention to details and are packed. People, get onboard with Cafe Pronto, seriously, it's very good. Oh, and they have great beers and wines.

We had a very pleasant visit to Cafe Pronto on a Thursday night using a voucher. Service was prompt and courteous. We had an entree and mains and were in and out in just over an hour. Food was lovely and good size serves. We will be going back!

We ate there using a voucher. We arrived and sat there for ten minutes and no one came to our table. I got up and went to the counter and asked for a menu. A few minutes later we ordered and after about ten minutes our son's kids meal arrived. Ten minutes after he finished his dessert arrived. That was all fine, except we had to wait for an hour after we initially arrived for our mains to arrive.
We weren't inclined to opt for desserts or hot drinks after that very long wait, nor were we offered any. This was for dinner on a Thursday night, at around 6 pm, in January. The restaurant didn't seem particularly busy, and there were two waiters on duty. We won't be rushing back.

I am sorry you did not have a speedy experience at Cafe Pronto on the night you attended. I am certain that it would not of taken over an hour to serve your mains as I have a strong governance over time delays in my restuarant. I take pride in training my staff to be attnetive and friendly to all customers whether they are full paying patrons or voucher holders. As I personally work every day and night in the business I would be shocked that you were left unattended at your table for any length of time. My records indicate that at the time you attended we only had 2 other tables utilised.
As a token gesture I cordially invite you to come back for a discounted meal and drinks (buy one get the other half price).
I do hope that your experience was a unfortunate one off.

Was here a few weeks back and found it reasonable and thought I'd give it another go. Very disappointed. Took about an hour for our mains to arrive and the restaurant wasn't busy. We didn't bother with entrees or dessert. Service was extremely slow. Wine list was on a scrappy bit of paper for a reason I didn't catch. It looked unprofessional. We weren't offered coffee or a look at the dessert menu and I won't be coming here a third time. For a new management team it will have to lift its game and be more consistent.

I have implemented a stop timer that goes off after 45 minutes to control this aspect of service.
I am stumped as to why you would of been given a scrap piece of paper listing our wines as I have a full coloured wine list which I have had since the beginning. If this was the case I apologise for the unprofessional impression.
I apologise also if you were not offered any coffee or desserts this is a fundamental aspect that I am not sure why it was missed. Customer service and satisfaction is a major contributor to the success to any new business and I believe in leading by example, it seems a shame that you were subjected to unsatisfactory service.

Cafe Pronto is under new management, and everything about the place is impeccable. I ate there a few weeks ago, and returned last night with friends.
My entree was mushrooms piled high on three slices of toast.
For a main meal, I had lamb on risotto. The lamb was slightly pink in the middle, just the way it should be. One of my friends had what I call fillet mignon, but was on the menu simply as a beef fillet.
I am a non-drinker, but they had a wide range of beverages available. And iced water comes free. I particularly appreciated the way the iced water was kept topped up, quite unobtrusively.
All in all - a great night out.

These people are being melodramatic it isn't great but I never expected amazing. The staff were excellent and informed, perhaps, they have had a bit of a revolution, I wouldn't say don't go, solid for a pizza.

I will never go here again! I cracked it last time I ordered takeaway from there and I waited 55 minutes until I left and went else where! I was told on the phone it would take 15 minutes. The few times I have been there it appears that the chef is drunk and he is always arguing with other staff. It is not a very comfortable environment!

Well I had a booking for three and the meals came out in an orderly fashion of about 16 minutes and we were treated with kindness and respect. The meals were delicious, some of the best I have had. Reading others reviews maybe they had a couple of bad nights but for myself and my small party it was wonderful and we will be back.

This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. My family and some friends went to cafe pronto for dinner. We had a booking for 8 people at 7pm, when we arrived we had an extra person, so needed an another place set. The waitress acted as if this was such a hassle, even though there was no one else in the restaurant.
We ordered meals and drinks. The drinks came shortly after we had ordered. An hour later, our food had still not arrived. The waitress could offer no explanation or apology, but offered us some more drinks.
Another 45 minutes later, the pasta dishes were brought out, but still those who ordered pizzas were still waiting. The waitress came out after a while with some pizzas and told us they were burnt, but asked if we would eat them anyway?
The pizzas were much too burnt to eat, so we asked for some non-burnt pizzas. This took forever, by the time the pizzas came out everyone else finished their dishes and it was 10pm.
The pasta dishes were ordinary and tasteless. The pizzas, also not worth the two hour wait. The waitress was didn't appear to care.
After all that, it was late and everyone was grumpy from having to wait so long for disapointing food.
I was fuming when the bill came out and we had been charged for the pizzas and the extra drinks we had while we were waiting for 2 hours!
I felt terrible for the people who came out for dinner, so approached the bar to speak to the waitress about the bill. I could see a man in the kitchen out the back. He stood there looking at me talking to the waitress. The waitress said she wouldn't take off any charges. She asked if I wanted to speak with the manager, I said yes, but she never went to get him and even though I could see him watching this exchange, he never came out to help.
In the end the boy who cooked the pizzas said he would pay for the pizzas because it was his fault they were burnt. I felt this was so sad, surely this shouldn't have to come out of his pocket? Seems like a very poorly run business. If this was our experience on a quiet night, I hate to think what it would be like when it's busy.
I wouldn't come back here if you paid me.
