Fantastic place, kid friendly, large serves of amazing food for low prices. The staff never smile but who cares when everything else is that good!

Terrible service. For three consecutive sundays we have waited over 40-45mins for our food to arrive. I know sometimes kitchens have bad days, but 3 consecutive weeks is ridiculous. When I asked the waitress where our food was she assured me it was coming out next. They then brought out one meal and we waited a further 15mins for our other meals. When I quizzed the waitress why our food was late and other patrons (at least 3 tables) had received their meals before us, she just ignored me and walked away. All I wanted was a reason eg lost order ticket... run out of food... chef off sick etc.. but their arrogance (and not to mention high prices) is disgusting. We were at least once a week customers. We will never go back.

Great, affordable food. But... It's noisy inside. Which I'm sure they can't to do much about. The annex area's floor could use a scrub! The outdoor area looks aged and needs TLC. The service... the staff need to be a little more attentive. The staff all seem too preoccupied to greet you or share some short conversation. Once you've lined up, ordered and paid, that's where the service ends.

The meals do come out quickly, I will give them that. Tables aren't cleared promptly and not cleaned properly between uses. And just a small niggle of mine. They serve the coffee with chocolate dust all over the saucer and spoon. I worked in hospitality for 6 years and there are little details that make a big difference. Also... My husband and I have noticed lately that it's becoming more and more difficult to get a table.

This morning we went there at 9.30am and more than half the cafe was empty because the tables were booked and sitting empty. We walked in, looked around and walked out again. Firstly, having a mostly empty cafe doesn't look good but to then have customers walk away... even worse! I have dined at a nearby cafe who have signs on the table inviting people to dine but to be finished by the time the guests arrive and their staff were friendly and offered help with seating and advised us we were welcome to stay.

Never turn potential paying customers away. Big no no. Offer them an alternative. Or give them a free coffee while they wait for a table to become free. I just feel like this cafe is becoming negligent in their attentiveness towards the customers. My husband and I have dined at Injoy for over 10 years and we are disappointed that the cafe is becoming less appealing each time we visit.

Which is a shame because they do have great food. Note to the owners... Please, please take a step back and see what we the customers see. Close for a couple of days and have a thorough clean and review and freshen the place up before you start to lose paying customers. We haven't quite given up on you yet... but we're close.

Been here are few times and it claims to have won an award for canberra's best cafe and restaurant. Not sure about how this was awarded by judging by the number of people there on saturday it was probably on pure numbers.
The food there is enormous. one meal can certainly cover two "normal" people and the milk shakes are the biggest i've seen around town. Given the number of people there for lunch we were really impressed by how quickly the food arrived.

Used to be fantastic, now, awful. Went for lunch a couple of months back and it was just about average, went for breakfast today, they may as well have had a beaumarie, eggs and bacon pre cooked, could bounce eggs off floor, toast horrible, not sure if its changed hands, but the food has gone from being fantastic to damned awful, it wasn't worth the money, have friends arriving from overseas shortly, and we won't be going there, in fact, I will Not be going back.

The prices are incredible, but the food itself is just awful. We ordered iced chocolates which were Huge, so big, we couldn't finish them.

My husband ordered bacon and eggs, and received cold wet eggs and gristly warm bacon. I ordered eggs benedict, and my plate was absolutely Swimming in hollandaise sauce. My toast was soaked, and could barely find my eggs under what seemed like a soup bowl of sauce. I wasn't able to eat it at all.

Disappointed! Especially after the good things we have heard.

Just had lunch at Cafe Injoy. Chicken burger, silly me to think that the chicken would have been freshly cooked and not reheated, not even the bacon was hot. And to top it off the chips were overseasoned.

The food could be nice, but the chips are awful. I ordered some nice lovely chips but I got handed a bowl that looked like cow shit.
