Not a pleasant experience! Service very poor! Waiter gave rude attitude all night. Should have walked out 2 minutes after being seated. 'Special "crying duck"' not so special. Like salt and pepper squid although not enough to go back.

Very good authentic Thai fare, which can be tuned to original-Asian-spice levels upon request. The birdseye cut chillies with black seeds were heavenly. I tried their green curry lunch special, which met expectations. It's no wonder that this place was packed even though it was rather late for lunch (past 1 pm).

One of the best Thai food places in Canberra, if you go you have to order the Crying Duck and Panang Curry, both are to die for! We go there every other week its that good, and so well priced has to be one of the most under-rated places ever!

My colleagues and I love Alice's and are regular patrons - for both their lunch specials and for occasional dinners. The lunch specials are particularly excellent - freshly made with lots of fresh produce and authentic Thai flavours, unlike other nearby Thai places that tend to offer only one or two elements in each dish. Alice's is the best value in the area and the service is extremely friendly and familiar.

As a regular patron of a few Thai restaurants around Canberra I thought I'd branch out and give this relative newbie a go. Alice Thai is now at the top of my list with the 3 dishes I tried being tasty and fresh, polite service and great value. Look forward to going back.

I have been here a few times. Good value, service, presentation and range for the budget conscious. What I particularly like is that the food is so obviously freshly cooked, not kept in warming trays out the back and dished up after a short period to give the impression that it has just been cooked. Would highly recommend.

We went to this restaurant for lunch at about 2 pm on a weekday. This is definitely one of the better Thai restaurants that I've been to in Canberra. The service was prompt and very friendly, but keeping in mind we were the only patrons there at the time. We ordered Pad Thai, Green Curry, Som Tum salad, and Duck stir fry. The dishes were all very tasty, the flavours were authentic and correctly balanced. The prices are reasonable, and we were very happy with the experience. Would definitely recommend it.

The food is Ok but not very exciting, given there are 2 more Thai restaurant in the area. We went there on Saturday night. But the place was not filled up as compare with the other places. Overall, the place is so-so for what it is.
