The place is okay for yum cha.

Though their rice noodles (vermicelli) may need some improving as it does not have much elasticity as what my parents told me.

Their pork buns may be store bought because my parents are a bit sceptical of the taste. I like their custard bun but I'm not sure if it's freshly made. Their wasabi beef is not bad it has improved since I used to order it in the past.

When it first started, don't bother thinking about going. They get so busy, the street in front of the restaurant get's choked!

But now that the interests has died down, people can actually get into eat. Bookings not essential unless you have a large party.

Food quality has somewhat fallen off the high marks in the beginning, but don't let this deter you. Most of the dishes still qualify. Try their deep fried S&P tofu, it'll make you look at tofu in a whole new light.

Their congee is Ok, but if you want to eat congee, go to Super Bowl in Chinatown in the city, beats it hands down.

I don't think I will go back in a hurry. The food is ok, but not worth the overpriced menu, especially with the slow service. The place is buzzing with diners and I kind of wondered what we were missing out on as I would describe our food at best average. This was the second time we went there and both times we have had to flag down wait staff to get any service at all.

Delicious. For someone who doesn't eat Vietnamese food very often, this place is perfect. I ventured here for Nem Nuong and it did not disappoint. I tried the Bum Nem Nuomng and Nem Nuong Cuon, both very appetising. The lady who served us was very friendly and polite and the service was very fast (which was actually fortunate as there's only short term parking nearby). Definitely going again!

Always come here with my family every Friday or Saturday. It's great value and is always fresh and the service is pretty much what you would expect dining anywhere in Cabramatta. Price is average, you might pay more elsewhere. The food is so delicious it can become quite addictive!

One of the first things I notice when sitting down is that there are no trolleys, food is brought out on trays which is unlike the Yum Cha in the city. Another thing that I noticed is that tea is free. We devour plates and plates of dishes. Each one is brought out hot and fresh, ranging from fried to steamed dishes and each one is very delicious.

First up is a fried seafood roll which consists of a seafood stick and prawns wrapped in a deep fried batter served with mayonnaise. Following this is a serve of steamed prawn rice paper rolls, pork dim sum (siu mai), fried prawn roll served with a delicious sweet plum sauce, chicken feet, prawn and vegetable dumpling, crab claws, eggplant and fish-cake, seafood dim sum (similar to ‘pork siu mai’ but with a scallop on top and prawn inside instead of pork), tripe, prawn and chive dumplings.

And the total bill? $13 per person. What value for money.

There is no doubt no place serves better yum cha than cabramatta coming from a true Chinese background I would know. Overtime, Fortune8 has become the best yum cha around! The dumplings are amazing, home cooked feeling, very humble service, friendly not that rushing feeling you get when you're at Iron chef on the other side of the station. Although the decor isn't much, this place is a definite must try. I wouldn't recommended any other yum cha places around in this area. Enjoy.

We walked in to be seated quickly which is a plus. It was a saturday around 1pm and it wasn't too busy. We asked for a menu and the gentlemen quickly pointed at the board. Upon selecting our dishes, the usual sides came (bean sprouts, lemon, vietnamese basil).

I am a huge lover of all things pho. I must say, as an asian I was not impressed with the quality of food. Broth is what makes pho amazing. The soup broth had no flavour. It was salty, but it didn't have the depth of flavour I was expecting (especially after my friends recommended it).

Exiting the venue to sample other snacks mad the trip worth while but I would not drive 40 minutes to eat here again. And I am always happy to drive for good food.

Regret not reading the reviews before i went, but rest assure I will never go back again.

The food was quite average, but the service! it was as if smiling was a luxury. We couldn't get the attention of any waiter until we finally demanded to leave the place, even then it took them 2 hours to get our food to us.

This is the yum cha that the locals eat at. There's no fancy tables (even though white table clothes are on), the waiters/waitresses barely speak English, it's loud, noisy and everything you'd expect from a good bustling yum cha.

The food is served fresh from their kitchen, whatever the waitress brings out on a tray at that very moment is piping hot and straight from the wok/oven/ deep fryer/steamer. There's no trolley dolly to roll around with food that has been there for hours on end. So it's always fresh and tasty

How do you know it's good? The asian community lines up at the door vying to get in. There's no bookings, but that's expected, first in, best dressed.

The people who work there don't speak too much English, some do, but that's part of the experience isn't it? Just so long as you can point, say yes or no then you'll be fed.

Tea is free (as with all decent asian venues) and you'll be given a set of chopsticks. Really worth a try if you've never been. It's my favourite and we keep returning.

This place have just recently renovated and it looks amazing and feels very warm. Overall the food here is great, good service with friendly and responsive staff. I love the beef noodle here, the soup is not heavy on seasoning smell and the beef is thin and fresh. Other dishes I would recommend are stir-fried beef cubes with pasta, special rice (charcoal pork with eggs, shredded pork and meat cake), fried spring rolls with charcoal pork and vermicelli.

I haven't been to Pho Tau Bay since I was a kid and today was my first revisit. It looks a bit different from what I remember, with the black sleek interior theme going on and they don't have that giant ship on their counter no more which was kinda like their mascott as shop name could be interpreted as 'fying ship'. The transition looks nice, but I miss the ship!

Anyhow, as a flexitarian I usually find the taste of meat weird so I asked them to exclude beef. The service was very quick, I only waited like 30 seconds before I got a hot steaming bowl of pho. Soup was clear, the bowl was large, overall great taste and value. Their hoisin sauce is sweet, very different to the standard jar stuff but the flavour blended nicely with the stock.

Most amazingly, I only got charged $6 for the bowl of pho! First shop that ever discounted me for excluding meat. I'm mindblown.

We have dinner at the wedding party of a friend. The food is tasty and well prepared. The service is quick and good. But one thing that annoying the most is the music. The music and sound system is so loud and really hurt our ears. Many people have to cover their ears and can't enjoy the delicious food because of the music. The wedding organiser had complained to the senior staff, but there was nothing change. What a pity.

Went here for Yum Cha. While everything was tasty and enjoyable, some of the usual yum cha options (eg. prawn har gao) were not as good here as elsewhere. The restaurant is nice and spacious, however, so the ambience was better. Value and service were as expected.

Definitely recommend coming on a weekend rather than during the week for Pho as the stock tastes so much better of a weekend. This is probably the best place in Sydney to go to for Pho! The ingredients are so fresh, and they make a mean iced coffee! A little more pricey than the usual hotspots in Bankstown, however, this is definitely worth the trip.

This used to be the place to go for Yum Cha but the last time that I went there for lunch, I wasn't blown away like I used to.

I've never had dinner here so I gave it on chance two nights ago and hoping for the best. Was I wrong. Let's start with the service. They brought out the live lobster promptly to show us what it looks like. Fifteen minutes later, our first main came out (which was peking duck). Then we waited 55 minutes without any food coming out.

After complaining to a waiter, 3-4 other people came over to our table one at a time within the space of 15 minutes taking a look at what we've ordered. Another 10 minutes went by with no food. We threatened to walk out by this point and only then that the lobster dish came out (nearly one and a half hour after the first main).

From this point on, it got worse and worse. Everything was waaaayy too salty. Lobster with xo sauce wasn't edible. I don't know whether the kitchen staff had spilled the salt into the wok or what. Not only that, the sauce didn't look like xo sauce at all. Then Peking duck. We were served only 6 small portions of San Choy Bow from 1 whole duck. I'm pretty sure there's more meat to a whole duck than that. When asked, the waiter just shrugged. The rest of the food that came out had just one taste.....salt.

King Prawn in duck egg yolk, Chow mein, Pork flambe, Hot and sour soup. They were all too salty. The only edible food of the night was roast duck with taro in batter. Finally, the complimentary sweet. My fiance found a hair in her bowl of red bean dessert. That was enough to made everyone put down their spoon. Sorry, Iron Chef. I won't be visiting you for dinner again.

We, family of 4, ate here today and were very impressed. The pork and rice was wonderful, as was the crispy skin chicken with dark plum dipping sauce. Vietnamese pancake with all the trimmings was lovely too. The place was full at 10am on a Thursday. Very popular.

Nice to be able to find a variety of products in one store. Only place in western Sydney that I have come across that also stocks Italian merchandise in conjunction with food products. Great bulk lines.

Great food, especially the house specialties like the duck pancake and the salad that had a lot of apple in it. Decent interior but crowded and noisy. Staff were good and service was fast. Prices are surprisingly high though.
