From the outside it looks like an ordinary cheap-and-cheerful Chinese restaurant, but the long queues outside are a giveaway. The food is of great quality and comes in huge serves, so in terms of pricing it's actually quite good value for money. We are relatively unfamiliar with Sichuan food, so really appreciated our waitress being very helpful and willing to give us advice on which dishes would most suit our tastes.

We ended up having the deep friend whole barramundi (1 chilli rating) and the pork with crispy rice cakes (0 chilli rating), both were fantastic. Make sure you book ahead or go really early because they are so popular.

Let's see... The service there is horrific, I can probably get better service at my local McDonald's store. Waiters there are absolutely rude and obnoxious. It was roughly a 40 minute wait for my meal, even though the restaurant was filled up by 3 tables, including my own. I gotta say, food was great there, this place has honestly gone downhill, especially the service.

Food was nice, but it made me feeling quite sick afterwards. Not sure if it was too much oil or the meat wasn't fresh. I wouldn't recommend this place for a good meal or service.

Tried a few dishes and found a few good ones, Pork Ribs in special shallot ($18.80) sauce and Yangzhou meatballs ($13.80). The ribs was so tender and the meat just fell off from the bone and the meatballs were very soft and juicy. Will go again.

I went to SparQling tonight with a large group for a birthday. On arrival, I went into the bathroom to wash my hands. There was no soap. I came out and informed two waitresses that they were out of soap in the ladies room and they both told me they would refill.

A couple of hours later, I went back to the bathroom to find there was still no soap. A restaurant where people eat, with no soap in the bathrooms. I went to the waitress behind the counter and said I was disappointed that she didn't arrange for soap in the bathroom and she rolled her eyes, saying 'yeah well we're really busy tonight'.

As far as I'm concerned, it only takes a few minutes to refill a soap dispenser. I can't imagine how many people had used the bathroom, been unable to wash their hands and then back to their tables to have dinner.

Incredibly un-hygienic. I won't be going back and I will ensure I tell everyone about how far down on list of priorities hygiene is for SparQling.

Very disappointed.

Haven't tried the Korean bbq but whats on the menu is good. Its a little more than I expect to pay but that is the only minor issue I have with this place. I like the food here, their bento boxes are decent and the service is polite. Food comes out at a reasonable speed and though there is not much ambience here its at least clean. A cheaper option than other places in Burwood.

Would definitely love to come back as their food is delicious, however, service was absolutely terrible. Took them 30-40 minutes to actually take our order after one waitress completely ignored us and they didn't take our order for a second round of drinks. Wouldn't go back.

The food at the restaurant is just exquisite, however, it's the service that continues to let it down. Every time we are made to wait quite a long time to even get someone to come and take our orders even on a quiet day. There are always heaps of staff yet they just don't seem too interested in taking orders. Once the food is ordered it it brought out quite quickly and it's always top class. This is what makes us go back all the time despite all the waiting time.

I will still come here to order their other meals.

Though some of my family did not enjoy the beef brisket (beef pot roast aka beef flank) in won ton noodle soup as the beef flank had was swimming with tomato sauce in it.

Overall, I enjoy their Combination rice and Combination rice noodle.

This was the very first time my friends and I had tried Nepalese food, and let me tell you it was a fantastic experience. Who has wild boar on their menu? or Buffalo Dumplings? I will definitely return. Try the carrot dessert, it was a wonderful surprise.

Absolutely disgraceful, hair in our garlic prawns and they still charged us for it. Ordered at 6pm and still waiting at 7pm, had to leave and they still wanted to charge for a meal we didn't even receive, woeful.

Excellent food at a great price, portions are large, so you can easily feed a group of 4 for under $40 including entrees. We regularly eat here with friends, a great place for the casual dinner.

My personal favourites are the shallot pancakes, Taiwanese beef noodle soup and pretty much all the entrees.

They need to open at 11am (Monday to Friday) instead of opening at midday (Monday to Friday).

Don't mind their omelettes as they are quite huge and the same goes to their light snacks being their burgers as they are massive.

It depends on what you're looking for - if you want something a bit more refined, this is not the place for you. It's loud, the decor is rather cheap, and the floor is a mess by night's end. The chefs put on a fun show for kids, but if you are looking for an adult's night out, this is not the place for you.

Had been to the Parramatto restaurant which was great, so came here expecting the same. It was pretty much spot on!

Not sure if its a different menu, but did seem a bit smaller. We ended up with the Chicken pide, lamd shanks and Baclava. All were awesome although the Lamb was on the salty side.

Its quite small inside and the stench of cigarette from the smokers outside still seemed to travel in.

Overall we left here happy and satisfied!

Just like all other Gelatissimo's across Sydney. But they do have a small variety of cakes available.

The real downer here was the service. 1st I was refused a 3 scoop cone (told they only do 3 scoops in a cup), but clearly states on the board a 3 scoop cone. Then once paid I was not given my change and had to ask for it. For such very simple tasks, its very poor they can not be done properly.

Yes the food was fantastic, but I was expecting this after the way my friend raved about the place. What got me was the espresso martini. I have ordered this cocktail many times but never had it made with a fresh shot of coffee. Definitely worth coming back for.

Went today (Wednesday) around lunchtime and I was quite disgusted. Waitress was very rude and full of attitude, told us that we couldn't have the BBQ as it wasn't worth the chef coming out for only 2 dishes (we had 2 adults and 6 children with us yet a Dad and his two kids were enjoying the BBQ next to us) even though we ended up ordering $180 worth of food.

We were charged $30 for three small bowls of fried rice, even though we only asked for 1. Meals came out at all different times, the last person was kept waiting for half an hour - no excuse, we were the only people in there. Don't bother unless it is a large group and you all order from the Teppanyaki menu and don't ask the waitress any hard questions, you'll be likely to get a very rude response and be told that if you confuse her, she'll get yelled at by the kitchen staff.
