Wagamama never lets me down. Whether in UK or Brisbane. Noticeably bigger portion sizes here though. Keep it simple, keep it fresh - works well.

I went here a few years ago and it was good. Perhaps it has changed management or something? We got some sides to start - karage and gyoza, which you can get in any sushi train so we were expecting something really special from these dishes. Unfortunately the servings were tiny for the price and didn't taste special.
My boyfriend ordered a chicken stir fry rice dish and said it tasted how it would taste if he made it himself - not of a restaurant level. My main was a coconut milk based chicken ramen dish. From the description on the menu, I had imagined something rather fresh and zesty more like a Thai dish I suppose. Unfortunately this tasted like coconut milk mixed with keens curry powder with some chicken and a few bean shoots mixed in. Dont bother going here!

Set up like a busy Japanese noodle bar - great atmosphere! Quite interesting to see the chefs busily cooking away over hotplates and sizzling woks. The asian-fusion food is not quite Japanese; more like a combination of Chinese/Vietnamese made western-friendly but with fantastic results. Good wine list, yummy Asahi beer (goes great with the Asian food). Too full to eat dessert but there's always Freestyle in the same complex (Emporium) if you still have room.
Waiters are always loitering around and easy to grab their attention. Great value for money. Sign up for a Frequent Noodler Card and build up those points to get a free main meal! Wagamama Rocks!
