Food was good but the service was Atrocious! On a quiet Thursday evening it took nearly an hour and a half before we got our main meals. Three times we were told the food would be ready in 5 - 10 minutes. Won't be back.

My wife and I had dinner here and found the food to be the best we have had in a long time. The service was fantastic and we loved the decor. I would suggest everyone to try the crepe with duck, great value for money.

My husband and I had a Friday lunch at Vroom. We had a voucher for a three course meal and bottle of wine from a daily deal site, and had not been there before. I rated the value based on menu prices, not the price of the voucher, which was exceptionally good value.
The food was delicious, with the salt and pepper calamari the pick of our entrees. Our mains were also fantastic, I had the seafood risotto which was lovely, and my husband was very happy with the club sandwich (which came fantastic chips). We did not need dessert, but since it was included with the voucher, the fantale cake and the strawberry profiteroles were a delicious way to end the meal.
The service was very attentive, the ambience very pleasant. In all, we had a great time. I was surprised to read some negative reviews on here, but from the dates they appear to pre-date the ownership change and menu overhaul as the current owner has owned Vroom for a few months. We would go back.

Vroom is my Favourite Restaurant on James Street, amazing there and this place has great food. I’ve been here dozens of times, have taken all my friends and family, and have never been disappointed.
It’s a casual place to go to but can give a fancier place feeling. It has nice tables, plates and cutlery and an excellent beer and wine list. The food is exquisite. I still remember the first time we went, I heard about the food from friends but nothing could have prepared me for delicious food I ate. My party all agreed it was the best restaurant we’d ever had in fortitude valley in a while. Service just awesome,
highly recommended.

This is the worst experience I have had in a long time. I ordered two toasted sandwiches with a serve of hot chips so I could take my brother who is in the RBH something decent for lunch. It took them 35 minutes to make two sandwiches one of which was burnt and both of them stone cold. They forgot the chips all together and when I asked them to warm up the sandwiches they then took them back for another 10 minutes and returned them again with no chips.
I was so appalled I told her to forget about it and left. The waitress had a black short dress on. The place is bad if they can't manage to make two toasties and some hot chips then I'd hate to think what the rest of the food is like, don't go there if your life depends on it!

I got invited hear by a college and after reading all the reviews was more then apprehensive about the experience. However, it was a really nice experience. I was greeted at the entrance by a friendly NZ girl who took me through and sat me with my colleagues.
Drinks were quick, cold and there is a good selection including beer on tap which was perfect for the heat outside. I had the Wagyu Burger which was excellent I really liked the oven roasted mediterranean vegetables that where served on it, just a nice change to the normal salad. My collegues had a corn fed chicken breast which he raved about and one of the ladies had a salad which she said was perfect for the weather.
It really was well priced as well 4 mains and a round drinks and coffees came to $110.00. After reading all the other comments I thought these guys needed a bit of positive feedback. I am looking forward to heading back there next time I am in town.

Terrible service! I waited 15 minutes for a waitress to attend to me, then I ordered my own coffee at the counter. I waited another 10 minutes, I returned to the counter to get my coffee. They hadn't started it, thinking I had just paid for one I had, even though I was asked what I wanted? Food portions were entree size for main meal prices.

Cutlery was dirty (had not been washed from previous customer), long strands of hair throughout scrambled eggs, had to get our own menus (waited 10 minutes first), staff not attentive in the least, had to cancel replacement order after 30 minutes of additional waiting time (had to go).

Quite a nice setting for a casual lunch or breakfast but the service was very slow. We waited ages for service and saw a couple leave and go elsewhere. We weren't given the breakfast menu until we asked for it, despite it visiting the cafe before lunch time. The food was nothing special and the toasted bread for my sandwich was very dried out. Not a terrible experience, but nothing to tell your friends about either.

Went here for a casual corporate lunch. Stinking hot day so, unfortunately, a little uncomfortable, but the couches were very stylish. Menu was comprehensive and I really enjoyed the Lamb and Tatziki Turkish Bread sandwich. Unfortunately, the service wasn't fantastic, the wait staff were ok, but when I went to pay the bill, I had to wait for the attendant to finish having a chat with a fellow employee.
