"The restaurant is just a few weeks old, so it's still immaculately presented with fresh paint and new furniture and decorated with Mexican ceramics and artworks. The menu is a breath of fresh air, offering everything from guacamole and frijole fritos to pupusas (handmade corn tortillas), while specialties include Salvadorian-style pork ribs and mole poblano."

Big range on the menu, might need to try a few more dishes before I make up my mind. The taco selection didn't seem like anything special and my chicken enchilada with mole sauce was nice but not what I was expecting.
Service was a lil slow at first, we were sat at our table and left with no water or menus for some time. They weren't particularly busy and it took me a while to get someones attention to ask for a menu. Later on the service improved when another guy there who was very friendly and helpful started to serve us.
I would really love to go back and give this place another go before I make up my mind because I think it has alot of potential!

Villa Maria was an awful experience. Service was terrible, we asked for some items included in the menu and they were not available. When we requested to talk to the owner to complain for the service and the lack of selection he approached us in a very rude way, he did not accepted our complain, did not apologize and was very upset.
We ordered “bandeja paisa” and it was disgusting. Other dishes were just ok, nothing really special. I am happy to pay 30 dollars for a delicious meal, but not for the quality served there. Villa Maria is simply overpriced. I would never go back there and it is a place I would not recommend.

Wheelchair access? I don't think so. There was no way I could get around this restaurant. Food was average, drinks overpriced and the service well waiting over an hour for your mains when the place was only half at capacity isn't service in my books. Go elsewhere!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! If you are after real South American food, then this is the place to go. The menu is huge and has many meals which I have never heard of before. The serving sizes were massive and so fresh and tasty! All four of our meals were beautifully presented and we all struggled to get through them but we managed!
The service was prompt and we had no complaints. Will definitely be coming back here. Once you go here you will never go back to the usual mexican fare served at other chain restaurants. Highly recommended!

This restaurant was fantastic. The food was amazing and the service was spot on. It would appear they have individually addresses all of the items listed in previous negative reviews. New Australian waitress with perfect English, welcoming atmosphere and our meals came out really quickly. We are definitely going back (Taco Tuesday sounds great).

OMG! This place is great, the real deal when it comes to authentic Mexican and latin American food. Everything is fresh and our waiter was very helpful. Been here 2nd time and it was better than the first. Will be back.

I've been here twice now and find the food fantastic. I did not know a lot about South American cuisine before coming here (except for Mexican), so it was quite an education. It feels like an authentic family restaurant, humble decor, Latin American staff, yet surprisingly subtle and complex cuisine. Service can be a tiny bit haphazard, but spirit is always honest and friendly. Outstandingly good food!

Highly overpriced, not exactly the type of food I would expect from a mexican/ south american restaurant. Could hardly understand the wait staff and obviously they had difficulties understanding us as our order had been messed up. The decor was too crisp and lacked any warmth. Probably better off eating elsewhere.

We really enjoyed our dining experience at Villa Maria, the food was fantastic, the staff were pleasant, and the drinks divine. The only suggestion I would make is to make the place a little cosier, candles, darker lighting, louder music, perhaps, some cushions on the chairs. Will definitely be going back!
