Went on Tuesday night with friends for my Birthday, it was also trivia night which was a bonus. Food was great as it has previously been on our visits there. Love this restaurant and will keep returning.

In Brisbane for a week and have found the city centre desperately lacking in good restaurants, until I found Verve! Verve is definitely on par with some of Sydney and Melbourne's hip restaurants.

The service was very friendly, ambience was loud being a basement, however, it does add to the atmosphere. I had the salmon with buttery leeks wrapped in filo pastry, yum! Going back tomorrow to have their soft shell crab dish for dinner!.

I simply loved dining here and would highly recommend Verve Cafe, the basement setting is so inviting in Brisbane summer and, perhaps, the best part. The menu is modern Italian and does not disappoint, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and prices reasonable. I will be returning on what I hope to be a regular basis.

Verve is very busy and noisy as it is in a basement, very hard to talk on a first date. However, if you are catching up or having a function, it is a very good place with great value, good italian food and a wide selection of drinks including cocktails. There are a range of events, such as trivia, DJs, art.

Verve is a cool underground hub. It buzzes. The food is modern Italian. My favourite thing on their menu is the herb bread, a mini loaf of warm bread topped with caramelised onion, herbs and parmesan. I had it as an entree for one, but there is enough to share between 2-3. The pasta's at Verve are very good. The simple oven roasted tomato is full of rustic Italian flavours.

The risotto there is ever changing, I had a lovely seafood risotto, which was superbly made. Verve is a fun place to dine, Shane the owner loves to have a chat to everyone who comes in. He provides great Australian service, happy to have a joke but also prompt and efficient. Verve has some lunchtime bargains like Salmon cakes and Calamari salad which double nicely as dinner entrees. Verve is a fun place to eat and a great place to launch a night out on the town from.

I went here with some friends the other day and was really impressed! The food was fantastic and the service great. The waiter and chief designed a meal especially for a friend who is allergic to a huge amount of things. It was really wonderful for her to feel part of the group and not excluded and left to eat steamed broccolli. Thank you!
