I went to the Orchid on what was advertised in the brisbane eating guide what a disappointment that was we went on saturday nite 24/3/2012, 7.30. Food was bland, service poor, restaurant cold, no happy faces, very very bad, I wonder why so many people choose to eat there, just a disgrace to thai food in general.

I personally would never eat there again and how did they get all those awards, what shame on you Thai Orchid ...oooh and don't go outside the restaurant for u might trip over all the cockroaches running around the pavement.

I went here for a function. I have been here before and had high expectations. I was Very disappointed. The food seemed pre-made. The deep fried ice-cream was cooked in the same oil as the savory food and smelt fishy and came with no sauce so it was smelly and dry. I am 39 and I had my 16th birthday here and thought it was wonderful then. I guess that was before I had been to Thailand and eaten Thai all over the world.

If you have ever eaten Thai food anywhere outside of Springwood, let alone outside of Australia, or even if you have eaten at a decent Thai restaurant, you would know that this place is really poor. The food is pre-cooked and reheated. The sauces are for a bottle. The service is woeful. Your local fish and chip shop has better and fresher seafood and the staff I am sure will look you in the eye, when you need some service. They could learn many things from macdonalds.

We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks. Meals slow but tasty. Service is unfortunately lousy. It somehow has built itself up to have a good reputation but maybe Loganites don't know better?

Our family had dinner at the Thai Orchid Springwood the other night and it was quite busy for a Tuesday. There were probably just 5 female staffs serving the whole (full) restaurant while the phone never stopped ringing! It was crazy yet the food was fantastic and the service was impressive. We loved the purple scheme interiors and the gorgeous staff uniforms as well.

Disgusting service. No chef on premises for 45 minutes after opening time. Patrons told to eat up quickly as patrons for 2nd sitting were arriving. Dessert was served before main course was finished and coffee arrived cold so as to drink it quickly.
