This place is a little gem in New Farm, great outdoor seating at a not-overcrowded spot in Brunswick Street and a very friendly, always smiling service. The owner is also always on the till and makes a point of greeting you, showing you the care he takes in his business.

The food is also very tasty, the Channa Massala, the poppadums and raita were flawless, you can see why the Indian cricket team chooses to eat here when they're over in Brisbane. And finally, the price is the absolute winner: you'd stand up full after a meal and only about $20 lighter, absolutely amazing in the heart of New Farm and one reason why I will definitely want to go back there. Highly recommended.

I went here on the strength of an eatability rating of 9.3. In my opinion it fell well short of that. Of the entrees the pakhora and bahji were tasteless with a cardboard like consistency although the tandoori and sausage were excellent. Of the mains the chicken tikka was extremely disappointing with bland taste and the meat was too tough. The lamb balti had a slightly better taste. I won't be going back.

Wow, I don't know why this didn't win the best Indian restaurant in Queensland and there are other good ones around. The chicken tikka was fantastic, best ever. The rest of the food was all very good but the chicken tikka is all I remember. Now my girlfriend says I need to shut up about it so thus the review to finish the subject off once and for all. This place is not very expensive, BYO or I think they have a license. I think the service was good but all I can remember for sure is the chicken tikka.

We didn't dine in but opted for delivery takeway. The food came on time and hot. The curries were nice, with a reasonable amount of meat and ranging around $14 each. Free rice is good. Had breads and they were great, Chilli bread is hot! All in all nice food and good service. We ordered three curries two breads and a raita for the two of us and we have enough left over for lunch for two again tomorrow.

My favourite indian restaurant in Brisbane! I love bringing friends here for the first time, they always love it as much as I do. Amazing food, great service and excellent pricing. We have takeaway from Taj Mahal at least once a week.

Still the best indian restaurant in Brisbane in my mind. Love taking my friends to this restaurant because everyone is always satisfied, even my mum who hated Indian food before! Good food as well as great value! Highly recommended.

I love this place! gorgeous food, you feel like you are in India when you eat in, fast service and free rice with meals! Love it.
