Whats not good? well the place could use a spring clean, there has been some unused junk around for ages (like the espresso machine which I have Never seen in action in the 6 years I have been going there). The lady that runs the joint could do with a personality injection, and the menu needs some evolution.
Apart from that this is the very cheapest and best value sushi place in brisbane even if the sushi is not "traditional" if you want that, flights to tokyo are really cheap at the moment. The $2 days are great and you can order what you want off the menu. Get rid of the grilled corn though.. 1 whole corn cost 99c, one half glazed and grilled corn is $3. You can fill yourself up for about $20 and green tea is still free.

The place is not so bad! I came back from a long trip overseas and the first place I went to was this place! I am very surprised at the variety now since I left! they have some new stuff going around on the train which looked truly mouthwatering. The prices are great for value too if ur looking for a meal that is not too pricey and the great thing about this place is that its called sushi station that actually has a model train going around taking the food aboard!
Its a great place to go to for a family lunch or dinner. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for value and great tasting sushi!

Never again, place was dirty, food had been going around for ages. I made the mistake of taking a plate of dumplings and when I bit into one, it was freezing cold and stale. I advised the lady that I could not eat it as it was stale and she argued back with me that I still had to pay for it. She was extremely rude and did not seem to understand that by insisting that I pay $3.50 for stale food meant that I would never set foot in the place again.
I love sushi and eat it approx 3 times a week so Sushi Station lost my business. Terrible place, needs new management who know how to run a good sushi place.
My verdict is that I refuse to set foot in the place ever again and do not recommend it at all.

Appalling. Stale food, no help from staff. One vegetarian among us was in big trouble. You have no idea what's on the train! Out of there in about 20 minutes! Cheap enough.

Mediocre as Japanese standard sushi goes but it's still sushi so it's enjoyable. Great value, always very full when leaving. Especially on the occasional "every plate $2 day".

Sushi Station Toowong is the best sushi station in Brisbane. Look out for their $2 sushi nights!

This is almost always packed, but we didn't wait long. I love the sushi train, and seeing the chefs making them, so professional looking. Limited range of sushi available, even some common ones were missing, many had been sitting on the train for some time as no one wanted them. Some were nice, but nothing special. Friendly waitress seated us and served tea, but then left us alone. Disappointing, as this was a nice place when I was a kid.

The food is awful, the rice is dry and not properly made for sushi. The place looks dirty and not welcoming. If you have eaten better sushi elsewhere which shouldn't be too difficult then you'll never want to step in Sushi Station anymore.

The kitchen appeared dirty and cluttered, boxes stacked everywhere even in the dining area, when I requested two places to sit I was told to wait (which is fine), however, this request was more or less yelled at me, I requested a plate of steamed dumplings which was served on a dirty plate and without the dumpling sauce which is usually drizzled over them, as a result the dumplings were dry and bland. Many if not all of the "hot" plates were cold and it is assumed they had been sitting on the train for quite some time. I will never eat there again.
