Great value pub meals! We have always eaten in The Steakhouse before Lions game in the past, but recently a friend took us for lunch in the Park Bar which overlooks the park and side street. Great pizza's, burgers etc, and they do a cracker $10 lunch special during the week, it has now become our Friday lunch favourite, can't beat the value and quality.

The Steakhouse at the Piney is fine if you like overpriced, consistently bad steaks, served in a large surf clubesque barn. I have given it a go too many times for it to be a one off. Pity cause its my local pub. They do seem to be very family friendly, if that is important to you.

The counter meals are fine in the park bar, just steer clear of the steaks. I often meet people at the Piney for drinks and we inevitably end up catching a cab to either The Morrison, Storybridge, Shafston or Norman Hotel, all have great steaks, some cheaper, and all are either walking or short cab ride from Piney.

Oh, and one last gripe! Name badges! Although a regular to this Hotel for 15 years, I don't know one staff members name! Basic Marketing mistake!
