Great little coffee shop for b'fast. Don't mind the crowds its worth the wait. The food is excellent. I had the french toast with caramelised apples and cream and it was too die for! My partner had the big breakkie and it was also very tasty. We were told there was going to be a 30 minutes wait for our food but it came out in only 15 minutes. Would def recommend to friends.

Each time we visit from Rockhampton this is definitely one of the places we choose to go and have a great breakfast. Nice mood, great food, good coffee, friendly staff although a bit rushed.

I am a regular as Sassafras and love the breakfasts! Chilli Corn Cakes are to die for as are the Ricotta Pancakes.

Food is good, had some salad and it was quite tasty. My friends were pleased with their breakfast etc as well. The juices were a bit watery, liked the display and what was available. Good atmosphere also but waiting time and stress factor of staff was rather high, which I am not so much complaining about, sat lunch time is expected to be high turnover lower quality time, but I guess I still thought it could be improved (not much workspace behind the counter making it a little difficult though).

I have had good takeaway salads from Sassafras, and good food and great coffee on the couple of occasions I've dined there. I had a cake with raspberry yogurt icing once, and loved it so much. I went back for more another time, but this time the icing tasted of the onion in the salad, it had been sitting near in the display.
