Service bad - waitress rude and up herself. Another waitress was good but overpowered by rude waitress. Food good, but cannot move from scoopon deal. No offer of chutneys riata etc. Feeding frenzy and just want to get you out for turnover.
Never again, Scoopon brought out their intent. Money grabbing instead of dining experience. Sad.

Well this place takes some beating! The food was wonderfully fresh and tasty, not watery or oily - just perfection! The ambience and the overall customer service was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this place and we have tried many many Indian restaurants.

Dined here a few months ago with a friend. We were served very quickly even though we were running late as we got lost! Food came out pretty quickly and was pretty good.
At the end of our meal, an elder man we assumed was the owner or chef came around and asked everyone how their meal was and if they were enjoying their night, nice touch we thought!
Looking at going back again soon!

I'm not an indian food expert, but I thought the food was great. Service was apalling - apart from one lovely male waiter with an english accent. We walked in off the street, asked if they had a table for 3, were told they were fully booked, said that was fine and went to leave. Then they said they had a table so we stayed. Ordering was great. I ordered the goat, then the waiter returned to say they'd just run out of goat and suggested lamb, which was fine, but we then ended up with 2 lamb dishes - no biggie - whatever. The food arrived in good time. The menu we were handed had lovely desserts which I was really looking forward to. When I asked for the dessert menu (twice) a female waiter came over. Her english was very accented and we all found it very difficult to understand, but eventually got the idea that there was no dessert - which I didn't need anyway. I then asked for a coffee. Apparently the waitress didn't understand as the coffee didn't arrive. We asked another waitress, and still the coffee took an age. A waitress came back to update us (which was great) to say they had no milk and had gone out to the shop to get some - this was about 7pm. Each incident was minor, but 5 in the one night was too much. I had previously bought and booked a buffet voucher for a couple of weeks from now. When I realised it was the same place, I was sorry I'd bought it. Hopefully the service will have improved by then...

I agree that the food is quite good but the service is sadly lacking. We also bought a scoopon voucher and the entree was a joke for the advertised value of $40. We certainly did not get what was advertised in the voucher. Not sure if they treat all voucher diners the same way but the wait staff were certainly unhelpful and unfriendly. One would think that by getting lots of diners through on the discount vouchers that they would be trying to impress to attract diners to come back not to give them an unpleasant experience and therefore get negative feedback.

Food is undoubtedly best. Service is the worst. If you buy discount voucher which is usually available from scoopon, they have advertised that that entree is worth $40, that's a joke as the entree they serve (2 chicken tikka, 2 veg pakora, 2 fish pakora) is hardly worth $10.

I had the pleasure of dining with my wife at Sardar Rasoi for dinner last night. Could not fault the food, absolutely divine! The taste of the food is unmatched in Brisbane with regards Punjabi cuisine. We most certainly will return and will be telling all of our friends of the wonderful experience.

Been to the Sardar Rasoi today, we chose this venue to celebrate two very special occasions. We were sucked in by their advertisements as it was our worst dining experience ever and I’m saying this as we often dine out and our expectations are not over the top either, just good customer service. Now on reflection I can understand why they spend so much on marketing as they are, perhaps, struggling to get customers through their doors!
They have no idea of fine dining or customer service! and if anyone is thinking of buying their spreets/scoopon vouchers think twice. We were treated like 2nd class citizens and were spoken to with an attitude as if we were trying to eat their food for free!
The atmosphere turned hostile, like we have never experienced here or abroad and this was with someone who appeared to be a senior restaurant staff member, someone who apparently lacks basic hospitality communication skills and someone who needs to take a good reflection on what values they would like for both the staff and self to espouse.
We were absolutely stunned with both the staff language and attitude. So much so we decided not to eat there! So shove your food and attitude, I choose not pay for neither and here I am having the last laugh at your expense. So I warn others to read the reviews posted here carefully. I wish I had.
Stay hungry but never ever go there, you will regret going there. If you like good Indian food and like being treated politely and with good customer service choose somewhere else in Paddington, you will want to go back there again and again and again.
