This is much more then first impressions, which from the front looks like a normal hole in the wall cafe. To my surprise it is actually table service and inhabits the whole building with a choice of beautiful garden deck, footpath seats or air conditioned room and to enjoy your meal.

Thumbs up for the service which was fast and friendly. The duck wraps that we ordered were brought hot and fresh to our table within 5 minutes of my order. The food was nothing short of spectacular. It was fresh and very flavorsome. The carrot cake is amazing and the Bahn Mi baugette my wife had was crisp and crunchy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. As you can tell we've been back there several times. I would highly recommend this cafe.

We have recently been telling everyone we can about the fantastic coffee and food, and were literally eating there at least twice a week, not including coffee 3 or 4 times a week.

Unfortunately, one day we queried a cost, we ordered 2 coffees, 2 duck wraps and a muffin. $54. No problem, it must be a mistake, the food here is great, and its cheap. If the price was $54 I'd probably pay it.

I didn't have a chance, the person I assume who must be the senior staff, was without doubt one of the rudest and most obnoxious perople I have ever dealt with, not only did he reject my request for an itemised receipt, he point blank refused to even listen to my question concerning the bill.

I wrote this off as just a bad experience, but since then have had multiple people tell me of the casual rudeness and distain this man displays when even approached in a nice way. Sad to see something so good ruined by the person who created it.

We work hard to provide the best quality food, and the friendliest service. We don't pretend to be something we are not. The freshest ingredients, simple and tasty menu items, pleasant and fast service, excellent value for money. Ticking a lot of boxes but obviously can't please everyone. Thanks for your feedback.

The girls at this cafe are so lovely, and they serve some of the tastiest food for both breakfast and lunch. Really hits the spot. I only wish they would open one on the Northside of Brisbane, but I'll be back.

I have been to this Cafe a few times now and at first I was very pleased with the place. However, I will no longer eat there.

I was there a week ago and was enjoying my lunch, when I noticed that I could hear swearing from the kitchen. After listening, I realized that a man (the senior staff I presume, as he always seems to be there) was actually swearing at the staff. The staff are wonderful..! Very kind and polite girls. The great food and polite nature of staff was the main reason why I enjoyed going there, but after hearing the words coming from the senior staff, it made me feel very upset.

I did decide to go back there again and this time I witnessed it once again, but this time it was worse. Shortly after hearing this, I witnessed the senior staff have an argument with another customer. I cannot and will not repeat any of the words that were exchanged. But I know that the argument was due to that customer complaining about the swearing.

The Cafe is meant to be a relaxing and nice place to eat. I hope no one else has to hear this. I feel so sorry for the staff..! (The food is actually very nice).

It's good to know someone's got it right. Thai Essence Day Spa & Cafe on Bennetts Rd at Norman Park. I'm addicted and have been there more times in the last two weeks than one should admit. But the food and coffee is just that good. It's simple, but fresh and something a little different to you usual cafe food. I can't fault it. I'm so glad there is finally a good cafe in Norman park.

What a find, when I walked into the small dining area, I was blown away by just how peaceful it was, the magnificent buddah water feater amongst greenery takes you a world away from busy Bennetts Road just a step away.

The food is to die for, the duck wrap was awesome, and also the baguettes are morish, the food is fresh and tasty, if anyone has ever lived in Sydney and had Hong Ha Rolls, these are similar but so much better!

The iced coffee is probably the best in Queensland, such a rich coffee taste so good! I had two! We will definitely be back!
