The food here is lovely and every time I have been its been packed. There is a great atmosphere. A bit of a communication barrier with some of the staff.

I am surprised by this other review as my experience is nothing like it. We had not planned to go out but decided to make the trek to the valley to dine and I am glad we did. When we saw the well appointed and very Modern Red Lotus we had to try it. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to get a table even though it was near capacity. The first thing that hit me was how all the diners seemed to be having a great time, this is a lovely ambience to eat in and socialise.

For entree we ordered a mixed plate and peking duck pancakes, this was heaven on a plate. Followed soon after by caramelised pork ribs that were super tasty and very filling. We selected lovely wines by the glass and finished with a classic deep fried ice cream dessert. I must admit I am generally not the biggest fan of asian cuisine, however, the Red Lotus won me over and I was impressed by the food, the decor and the efficient staff, Try it, you won't regret it.

The Red Lotus Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant in the Valley is way below average. I can describe our experience (my friends and I) at Red Lotus in one sentence. It's fun to watch Fawlty Towers but to experience is Not.

Food is like the rest of chinese restaurants in the F.Valley but only in much smaller portions/servings. Our waiteress is the Hocus Pocus Red Lotus. She is the main actor in fawlty towers Australia without the need even having to act. It was just awful. The restaurant was even empty, it was on sunday, we were the only customers. Now we know why it was. Play Gold Lotto that day if you reach your food order to the chef at RedLotus.

Lucky we asked the waitress where was our food after nearly 2 hrs and starving by that time. Only to find after another one hour she didn't give all the food orders and gave wrong one to chef. Just kept going like that the whole night there until we left that restaurant never to return again. Guess what! The senior staff and the waitress didn't even say sorry or give discount after all that!
