I've been a fan of QH for a couple of years now since first discovering it. I read a couple of review earlier today and thought it only fair that I added my comments about our dinner tonight. We took our 2 kids (2 & 6) and the service was impeccable. Luckily we knew what we wanted to order, then entree arrived in 3-4 minutes, first dish (soft shell crab) within 5-10 minutes, promptly followed by our egg rice, shanghai chicken & lemon grass pork. All in our, we were in and out in just over half an hour (our choice with the kids). We've been plenty of times before with friends and obviously spent much longer, but it was just so easy to go out tonight.

This place is awful. We had ordered takeaway and caught the waitress eating from our box with her fingers. Definitely not coming back.

After reading some of the comments and also the poor one, would like to add my feedback. My family goes to this restaurant every single week, sometimes up to 3 times if other people wish to go with us.

Yes, sometimes meals are forgotten or the service is a little slower but we have taken this on board, not to mention the staff sometimes speak poor english, this may be a fault on their behalf but we have had sooo many great nights there that it out weighs any other time that may have been a little slower. Early week nights are a great time to go, very quick service, fast food and always absolutely delicious!

I highly recommend Que Huong, my total and utter favourite place to eat, am just about to order take away food.

I don't know much about this restaurant but every time I been here with my family it has always been a delightful experience. Yes just like all restaurants the service is not as good when its a very busy day. I guess that the food is so good that it attracts me to come back.

The great decorated venue is nice environment for dining in with your family. Recommendation is to book before you go there, always get a reservation cause there has been times when they are so full that I had to wait for a table.

Just because it seems cheap, does not mean that you should be fooled. I have eaten at many restaurants and even at cheaper places have I found better service. I went here by recommendation from a friend, and it was terribly disappointing. Never will this experience be repeated.

Firstly, they didn't give my table of 5 enough menus already, yet they kept taking our menus off us to give to other tables, so how on Earth were we supposed to order? It took over half an hour to get the food, which I thought was understandable, considering there was a fair bit of food to cook and it was a little busy, but then I realized, about another twenty minutes later, that they had forgotten to make my food and my uncle's.

When I asked them where my plate and my uncle's dish was, they brought the docket out and realized that the waiter hadn't actually written down the food for my uncle's meal, despite having had repeated the order to us and having 5 adults confirm that the orders were all there. Then, I realize that they just hadn't bothered with my food. It had been written down, but they had just simply skimmed by it when they were making it and no one had bothered to double check.

I told them not to bother, every one else had already eaten and quite frankly, I was just going to go eat some KFC. When I went to pay, I find that they made my dish, despite me telling them not to bother, and expected us to pay for it and take it home. I'm sorry, but had I not cancelled the dish since it was one hour after I was meant to get it?

We ordered extra drinks too, twice and each time, our requests were received with a nod and they didn't come back. The area was congested, disorganized and as far as I could see, I saw a lot of waiters hanging at the back, but none of them seemed bothered to come out to the front to serve or inquire about customers.

This was the first time and the last time that I will be coming to this restaurant. If anyone does wish to go there for the first time to try it out, I'd probably recommend that you remind every waitress or waiter you see that your order has not arrived yet. That way, they might be able to get it to you on time.

I visited this restaurant for the very first time for a Birthday Party. I must say I was amazed with the venue, quality of food and friendly service. Being situated in Darra, I expected the venue and food to be mundane. I was presently surprise!
The venue was massive and the ceiling was extremely high. The decorative style was heavily influenced by “fung shi”. I will definitely be going back.

I had read the excellent reviews so was expecting a great meal. The Vietnamese food was very Chinese, my entree arrived after my main and it was difficult to get a waitress for drinks or spoons etc. Could be worse but could be better.

A great restaurant, a good varied menu, it has Deer, Duck, Crocodile, Live Fish & Lobster. It's better than any place in the city!

I was told about Que Huong Restaurant during a trip to Thailand. There I met some Vietnamese-Australian who told me that this was the best Vietnamese Restaurant in Brisbane. I have been a regular ever since. The food is very tasty and authentic whilst still affordable and they have free karaoke on weekends. Great place for a family outing.

I am a regular, and they know it. They have had a big renovation and refurbishment and the decor is delightful Asian kitsch. The food is brilliant and they are flexible if you have special requests. They started out fairly ordinary but have improved out of site in the last 12 months. They often give free desserts but the ones on the menu are very good. The Vietnamese vermicelli meals with optional various meats are the best! Plenty of good fresh crunchy salad.
