Great food, the Pho's are very good and tasty, as are the salads The place is simple in decor, pleasant enough. The service is ok, not overtly friendly, but just polite enough and reasonably prompt. It is always busy here, a good sign the food is tops. Value is quite reasonable, around $10-11 for pho and a tad more for more solid mains.

While the pho may not be "authentic" (on the raw beef, tripe and tendon tip), it is very tasty and well worth a try. IMO, the place should just be a pho house and forget the large menu. Have eaten there twice in the last week and will be back.

Think canteen, it's clattery, echoey but has an outside deck too. The food is hit and miss. Their rice paper wraps are very decent, but the chinese meals average. Gloppy food is a sign of too much cornflour in the sauce. It's very cheap indeed and stays open quite late most of the time. The saving grace of the restaurants on Hardgrave is that people flock there to eat, and can't be bothered to leave if there is no room at their favourite place. If this restaurant wasn't located on this street, it may find business very hard going.

Being Vietnamese I should know what Vietnamese food should taste like..... this is a very poor attempt indeed! The pho tai I ordered came out luke warm and the beef was cooked through, it's meant to go in the bowl raw with boiling soup poured in to cook the meat! The one saving grace was the service was a lot better than most Asian restaurants.

The food was so fresh. I had a combination soup which had great helpings of pork, wun ton, seafood, tofu, vegetables. Nice big bowl which also had fresh herbs and clear broth top give that great vietnamese flavours. Great lunchtime value.

There are so many Vietnamese restaurants in West End to choose from that we went of the earlier review of this restaurant when we chose to go. We even tried the prawn cakes. Each to their own but this restaurant was awful.

The service was incredibly slow, and the food was nothing to rave about. It looked like the restaurant was booked out, so possibly I'm being too picky, but we had to physically move our table, at the request of the wait staff, at least three times, to accommodate other diners (?) and we had to wait an eternity to get served drinks, order dinner, have table cleared.

If there's one thing I cannot stand is food being scraped from plate to plate in front of me at a table - uugh! And then to stack the bowls, etc. in a half eaten bowl of soup was too much! The food was edible, just.... There are so many other restaurants along this Hardgreave Road, including Vietnamese - we'll try one of those next time.

This would have to be my favourite Vietnamese food, great staff very friendly and understand English. Try the prawn cakes they are awesome, (haven't seen them on any other menu) it's like a fired muffin made from prawns yummy. Byo too.
