Sat at the train for 2 hours and a had a lovely evening sipping on sangria and sampling most of the tapas. The food was hot and fresh, the service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself was clean, fun and atmospheric. My only word of advice is beware of the Tue 2-4-1 deal! If you get 10 plates, they take the 5 cheapest plates off the bill, not necessarily the items of equal value. Oh and desserts aren't included in the offer either.

Overall a delightful experience, though it turned out a bit more expensive than I anticipated so I won't be making it a regular jaunt.

Facts: We were a group of 16 paying $35 per head. Thats $560 in cash. We had 6 plates between 16 of us. Thats $93 per plate. Two seafood, 2 veg, 2 meat.

Opinion: I can vouch for two people. We both left feeling hungry and ripped off. The volume of food provided was very stingy and really only fit for 8. We won't be returning.

Had high hopes for Pinxto as Spanish tapas are not a common theme among Brisbane restaurants. I thought the place had a real buzz to it but, unfortunately, I (and my friend) were dissatisfied with our meals. We ordered the $35 tapas set menu expecting (realistically) not an enormous amount of food but at least more than 3 prawns on a large plate. This was the sizing trend for all plates consumed.

An unnecessarily long wait between tapas maimed us very drunk on empty stomachs. Perhaps, ordering 1 full meal or straight from the train would have been better. I wouldn't rule out Pinxto completely, but I won't be going back there again.

Brisbane's Tapas Train. Was disappointed with the selection, unfortunately, we judged against great spanish venues like Mo Vida. Gherkin and pickled onion skewers are better at home. Haven't recommended any friend for the Tapas Train.

I met friends at Pintxo for a mid week catch up over tapas and wine. We had a wonderful time. We chose from the a la carte selection and most of our choices were just perfect. It was pleasant way to spend a mid week evening: great company, fabulous food and outstanding service.

Having heard good things about Pintxo, I was looking forward to my visit very much, and it didn't disappoint one little bit! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and very obliging. My friends and I sat at the tapas train, similar to a sushi train but with Spanish goodies. The train only featured cold dishes but you order the hot ones from the wait staff. Pricing is pretty good. Since you wait for the hot tapas to come from the kitchen, you fill up nicely without the bloatedness, so you don't spend a fortune on trying to fill up.

Now the sangria, ohhh the sangria! Careful! It doesn't have a massively high alcohol content but you simply don't sip it like wine. It's so delicious that you can't help but guzzle it! We had the red sangria but you can also get a white version. The red was completely more-ish.

We also indulged in desserts, very, very tasty! Creme caramel, flour-free chocolate cake and churros with chocolate dipping sauce, all excellent and very fresh.

In fact, all the food was very fresh and well-prepared. The spinach and bechamel empanadas were a highlight, as were the little deep fried bechamel balls and the stuffed olives. The only complaint (and not a big one) is that the music was a bit too loud at times which made talking difficult, especially once we'd started slurring a tad from the sangria imbibement!

All up, very well done, highly recommended for a great night out where you can happily enjoy entree, main, dessert and coffee all in the one place and not be disappointed. Don't miss the sangria!

All I can say about Pintxo is, splendid experience, very pleasant atmosphere, very nice, polite stuff, they make you feel like home and the most important "Food", yummy food and Sangria! yummyyyyy! I'll be back soon.
