Named after the "little bird" songstress Edith Piaf, this petite restaurant serves meals with a French flavour, but also incorporates elements of Asian cuisine to the menu. Start off with the rice paper rolls filled with barbecue pork and herbs, then go on to the roasted chicken leg served with creamy mash, green beans and a tarragon and chervil sauce. The French desserts are hard to resist with sorbet, brulee and tarte tatin all on the menu. Go for the pear tatin served with ice cream, apple and cinnamon.

On a girls weekend away, we booked to have lunch here to start. The service was atrocious as all we got was attitude for ordering a cocktail (mimosa) which consists of champagne and OJ. From there it all went down hill, so much we didn't end up eating here. Very disappointed.

Went here last night. Food was good and wine list adequate. Service was friendly and unobtrusive. Might be a bit noisy if it’s full but on a Monday night it was fine. Scallops were cooked nicely and the eye fillet superb. Cream Brulee was the standout.

Went there for breakfast and was thoroughly disappointed. My partner ordered potato hash with a poached egg on side. Poached egg was basically raw. Sent meal back and was given replacement where the egg was now hard boiled. Very average overall. Will not return.

Amazing food, really French restaurants or cafe rule here in Brisbane. Soup was awesome, meat the same. Pasta is to be taken in Italian restaurants all over the world thou :)

I was so happy with my meal. I ordered the rump steak with this gorgeous mustard sauce. I asked for it medium-rare and it was cooked perfectly. It was also a larger piece of meat than I expected for $22. I will definitely be going there again.

This place has slipped in service and food. I went there a year ago and the service was really friendly and the food was amazing, worthy of five stars - then. Went again and the service wasn't overly friendly and slow to get food out, we were left waiting 30 minutes for our main. We ordered the eye fillet medium and was served a well done chewy scotch fillet. They have also bumped the prices up and down graded the quality on the meals.
Waited for the bill which never arrived when we asked for it and when we did get up and pay they mixed up our order but did refund us the difference. I don't know if this place has changed management but was very disapointed, will not dine there again.

This is a really remarkable little place in so many ways. It has been fantastic each time I've been there, 3 times in all once breakfast, once lunch and once for dinner.
Very interesting and good value wine list with a lovely selection of wines by the glass you'll rarely even see at another restaurant.
And where do you get delightful entrees for $10 and delicious desserts for the same price? Mains range from $16-$20 and are all thoughtful and tasty, my Confit of Duck was absolutely as good as I've ever had.
I find Piaf a rare treat and can't wait for an excuse to go back.

Nice food and good value. It worked about $50 pp including entree, main, dessert, coffee and a drink. I will definitely go back again.

My boyfriend and I have been to Piaf at least half a dozen times and every time it has been perfect. The food is divine. As the review below says the portions are not huge although we always share an entree, have a main each, then share a dessert (creme brulee is mouth watering) and leave satisfied, no need to walk away from a beautiful meal feeling sick you ate so much, plus, the sides are reasonably priced if you feel you need more.
The service has always been spot on, only complaint may be they love filling your wine glass up every 5 minutes. The wine list is small but well selected so maybe this isn't a bad thing.
The value for money is mind boggling, I have paid more for an overcooked piece of blade steak on a bit of packet mash down at the local pub. It is hands down my favourite restaurant when you take value into consideration. Make sure you book, it is hard to just walk in and get a seat these days.

It seems so welled priced until your tiny little meal arrives and you realise that the food is priced in proportion to the food so not cheap afterall. The food was average nothing to rave about but not bad either. We asked for dessert and we were told our table was booked and we couldn't have any! I really really hate that, we would have ordered our dessert half hour earlier if we could get the attention of the staff to take the order, losing money for the owner and putting patrons off side is not good staff. Pick up your game. I would give this place another go but my husband won't return.
