I was looking forward to a lovely evening of mexican food. It was moderately busy. Steaming hot. It was so uncomfortable to dine here. It was only 25 degree's outside but still, no fans, no air circulation. I felt sick because of the heat in there, then... my bean enchilada with rice and salad... well... congealed, dry beans is not my idea of a good meal. I wasn't happy with it but felt so sick I didn't mention anything.

I've been to the restaurant somewhere else which has always been phenomenal but Newmarket really needs to step up their game. My friends dining with me also didn't love their meals. I don't think I'll be dining there again in future.

Ticks all the boxes! Food is amazing, service is fast (especially considering how busy they can get on weekends!) and awesome value for money... the meals are huge! And you will not leave feeling hungry. The ambience is so cute! Absolutely love the place. Best mexican in Brisbane by far!

This has a nice atmosphere, an old pretty hole-in the wall style. Good setting despite being on a main road. The food was pretty decent taste-wise, it was fresh but I found it was pricey and did not quite fill me up (adult male). I ordered an enchillada, and everything was ok except the size and price. The service was polite and friendly, perhaps, a tiny bit slow. I may try this place again sometime, perhaps, ordering something different to fill me up more.

I have had take-away from Pepe's at Newmarket at least once every 6 weeks for the last 2 years. The staff are always helpful and the food is consistent. I usually have the chicken burrito, and it is always great! I am a female with an average appetite and the burrito (which is about $20 including guacamole and sour cream) lasts me for two meals. As far as Mexican food goes, I think this is great value.

We decided to check the restaurant out and was pleasantly surprised, the service was great and the staff are friendly. The meals are a big serve, so be careful of the entree's ordered (the takehome container will be lunch for 1-2 days). The cost relative to the size of the meals are comparable and are not expensive. Would definitely go again.

While the interior will never make Vogue, the owners know their mexicana cantina style cuisine ( and drinks!) because they have been there and learnt it. This is our favorite hole in the wall with excellent food and excellent value. The cocktails are hand crafted with love, liquor and Lime. Its one hot tamale for value. Keep it up boys.
