Very disappointed with this place. My rainbow roll was a mess. I was sitting at the bar and when the kitchen staff was cutting it, bits were falling off and he stuck them back on with his fingers. It was like watching a child play with playdough. Bad communication amongst the staff, I was asked if I wanted Miso soup 3 times by different people within a 20 minutes period. Very disappointing and expensive for what it is.

Foward and friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere, but if you are expecting quality Japanese food then this does not live up. The kitchen staffs don't know Japanese food well enough (their sushi rolling is pathetic, for example), and it's, perhaps, not surprising because none of the chefs are Japanese either. It's also expensive for what you get. Good food, but nothing special and certainly not worth the money.

We wanted to sit at the teppanyaki table but they had overbooked it and rather than being crowded we decided to be comfortable. Food was good and service was wonderful, it was just a bit noisy cause of this group that was enjoying sake.

Fantastic Food, great service and very funny sushi chef! Make sure you sit at the sushi bar. I have not tried the teppanyaki so cannot comment.

Very good food is great. My girlfriend and I sat down to eat and because her meal was 10 minutes later than mine our whole bill was free.

The atmosphere was great, the location extremely handy, the chef is very entertaining, the wait staff are pleasant and well mannered, and the food was exceptional. The bill raised an eyebrow so better left to occasions and soaking it all in rather than stopping in for a bite.

When our entrees arrived we learned that our drinks order had been missed. No problem, we put our drinks order in again and they arrived quickly. After the entrees, one of our mains went missing and the main that did arrive was not what we had ordered. We eventually did get the missing main, about 20 minutes after the first main arrived.

When we examined the bill we learned that the waitress had in fact taken down the order correctly the first time, but it seems that someone changed our sushi platter order to sashimi on the order slip after the order was taken. A very unpleasant service experience, and although the fish was nice, the agedashi tofu was too deep fried for our tastes.

Agreed the egg custard was nice, a little overcooked I thought. I would say stick to the sushi and sashimi and sit at the sushi bar, see what is fresh and order as you go. Handrolls seem to the popular. Sushi is prepared as you order but needs more sushi chefs to roll it out quicker. So expect a wait for the sushi & sashimi on busy nights. The wait staff are very obliging and the atmosphere is very warm. A little expensive but it is the best Japanese that you will find in the valley.

I think I took my family here on the wrong night. Service was forgetful, serving portions were small and the sashimi platter was not very fresh! However my sister liked her egg custard. Bill was pretty steep and I won't be back. I think it might be ok for lunch though.
