My second time at this restaurant. It was my husband's first. We started with the garlic turkish bread with a selection of dips. The bread was fresh out of the oven. The dip selection was extensive and each had a unique flavour. You will love the dips if you are a garlic fan - which we are. My husband had a spiced lamb with yoghurt and I had the spiced chicken. Both meals were beautiful. The meat was juicy and very tasty. It was served with salad, rice and roasted pumpkin. The pumpkin was nicely baked, sweet and creamy. We will be going back.

I have been to the Ottoman cafe many times, it is where I take friends as the meals are always plentiful and delicious, with a good choice to suit all tastes. The ambience reminds me of a Turkish house that I had the privilege to visit. The entertainment when I have been there on Friday or Saturday has been a Belly Dance which makes the evening extra special.

Visited this restaurant with my family on a Saturday night. I was really hungry and looking forward to a good meal. We encountered problems with this place as soon as we were taken to our table.

Firstly, I could hardly get into my seat because I was right next to the person on the next table, very uncomfortable. The floor was so dirty my wife didn't want to put her handbag on the floor so she kept it on her lap the whole time. Then we saw a mouse run across the floor. The only positive comment I can give is that the food was served quite quickly. However, the servings were extremely small especially considering the high prices. Further, the food was very ordinary, not delicious at all.

When I went to pay the bill a man in a chef's hat (that went half way to the moon) served me. He didn't smile and just snatched the money from my hand. After quizing him I found out he was the senior staff.

I was surprised how busy this restaurant was considering the food was awful and expensive. Perhaps, the other diners were first time visitors like us. My entire family and I left hungry and we all agreed that the food was awful.

Disappointed. waited 50 minutes for our food after our order was forgotten. When it finally did arrive, we did not get all the meals we ordered. The lamb tasted boiled not char grilled as described in menu. Also, overpriced, never goin back.

Horrible! Arrived starving and waited 30 minutes for food even though they were not very busy. My 'mediterranean' salad was worse than the most ordinary garden salad I've ever had. Absolutely disappointing. The 'grilled' chicken tasted exactly like the cheap kebabs you buy in Coles deli. The waitress was wearing a top which revealed everything, very dis-tasteful and tacky. Thankfully they brought us a pide bread by mistake which we scoffed down because it was the only edible thing on our table. Do not waste your stomach on this 'restaurant'.

Lured here by some rave reviews (obviously not on this website!), we found it a bit disappointing. The food was quite good (especially the lamb dish), the portions large and the service obliging, when we could get the wait staff's attention, they were very full and busy. Which is part of the problem, the tables were cluttered and too close so you felt as though you were in the other diners' laps. We wondered why such an average place was so popular.

This was the worst restaurant ever!!! The food was woeful and they forgot to make the orders for 2 people in our party so by the time they got delivered, everyone else's dinner was cold. Most meals were also burnt.

The waitstaff were rude, could not understand English and didn't know how to wait on tables (no drink top ups etc). Belly dancing was terrible - sounded more like Chinese music. Don't waste your money, it is overpriced.

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday night 3rd May 2008. We arrived early as we took our 7 year old daughter. You need to like lamb... lots of it. Not much else on the menu. The lamb shanks were quite good, but everything else was very ordinary.

Oddly enough the wait staff appeared to be all Japanese, in Australia studying English! The dips were ordinary however, the Turkish Pide was great! Overall though there are plenty of better places for Turkish cuisine in Brisbane.
