Really enjoyed the food, the sweet and sour fried chicken was excellent and the meat in that and the pepper and black bean sizzling beef was great. Next time I'm in Brisbane I am going to try the duck, it looked amazing, no fatty bits. Lovely attentive staff. Bit pricey but worth it.

The food was lovely, we ordered the house special double cooked duck which was perfect, so tender. We also had the house special king prawns which were cooked perfectly in a lovely tangy sauce. The service was attentive without being intrusive. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

After a week in QLD this was the worst meal. Add the fact it cost the price of hiring a car for a week to feed four people and you begin to understand how outrageously bad this place was.
The food was average. not inedible but the westernisation of some prawn dish by covering it in Aioli was pretty piss poor. The service was good by all means but when you could buy two big day out tickets for the same price you would expect it to be. Singapore noodles were food court quality. Rendang was the usual stringy nonsense that I could make at home with budget beef. Sorry, I would hit up anywhere else.
Anyone with my tastes would have seen the menu and decided no but, unfortunately, we were led there by an individual who crumbles under pressure.
Hit up Chinatown instead.

Best chinese in Brisbane! The food is just amazing beautiful blend of flavour but still authentic asian cuisine with fresh ingredient. The chef are always happy to cater to your demand, my son wanted honey chicken which wasn't on the menu, and they were more than happy to do it.
All the food were great. Especially the double cooked duck recommended by the waitress were out of this world. The staff really professional and friendly what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. The price seem to be a little pricey at first but if you know your food you'll realise that is good value for your money.
And the live pianno player (apparently playing every night) was a great touch which make such a difference.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Obsession. We will definitely come back soon.

The food and wine was nice, but this was spoiled by the woeful service. We had to leave our table several times to remind waiters to take our drink and food orders. When the food finally arrived after a long wait, only half the group was served and the other had to wait. Obsession is obviously trying to be a fine dining restaurant, but their service is a long way off. My advice is if you want good asian cuisine go to China town.

This is a bad, bad restaurant. Four of us had their lunch specials, two meals came out and were finished before the other two came out, despite having asked where the other meals were and then, to top it off, one of us found wire in our food.
In fairness, they agreed not to charge us for our meals but the bad service was enough to want me to take my hard earned cash elsewhere in the future.

So impressed with this place. For me it was up there with Golden Century (Sydney) and Supper Inn (Melb) Chairman and Mr Yip (Canberra)as best chinese places ever. Barramundi was to die for so fresh and had bugs in this amazing chilli sweet sour sauce wanted to lick the plate. Service was surperb. Well done guys. next time im in Brisbane, i shall return.

Dined here with my partner at the beginning of August 2009. We were in Brisbane on holiday and we specifically chose this restaurant from the reviews that all said it was the best of its kind in Brisbane. We were not disappointed. Fantastic meal, we had the twice cooked duck and Singapore bugs for mains and they were great.
Service was fantastic, meal arrived quickly, drinks topped up regularly and we were checked on as well throughout the meal. Would highly recommend.

We ordered take away that night but I don't think it should affect the taste of the food that much. I do think it is expensive for chinese food and I do think they are quite inventive. I went for what was recommended by the waitress. Originally I wanted to try the duck liver that was listed but not available as yet. It was explained to me that it was a new addition to the menu and it also needed to be marinated longer thus not ready for that night.
So I had Obsession king prawns, the obsession golden chicken and the chilli bugs.
Obsession king prawns was cooked in a white sauce which was a salad sauce so it's sweet sour taste was pleasant with rice. The obsession chicken was pretty good except, there was hardly any chicken and a whole lot of onion, a bit pricey for $25 but who would have thought to put together shrimp paste, black beans and curry.
What I didn't understand was my chilli bugs. There lay one bug halved lengthwise. One half contained mushy meat, the other half, only the shell. I checked the sauce and it wasn't hiding there. The sauce tasted like thai chilli sauce and the bug was not fresh. I just couldn't understand how a restaurant at such a location could let that dish pass their standards.
Musshy unfresh bugs is a no no for me, I rather tell customers that we are out of bugs than to serve them like that, and I would make sure that the staff are not eating first before the customers get their food. Again though I ordered take away, it doesn't mean they can get away with slips like that.
