In Brazil, the cooking style “Churrasco” (pronounced Shoo-Has-Co)
is the term for a Brazilian BBQ.

In the olden days – 300 years ago, “Gauchos” (Southern Brazilian Cowboys) pierced large pieces of meat with skewers, then slowly roasted them over pits of open charcoal flames. Gauchos would prepare a feast for their families while talking about their adventures on the plains. The roasted meats were brought around to each family, offering the best of Gaucho’s herd.

Bad service. You had to be one of the lucky tables to get food otherwise it was a long time between meals. Looked upon negatively if you asked for a particular type of meat that was on the menu. Definitely not worth the money. Will not be going back.

When we went for dinner there were two sittings - the early or the late each lasting for 2 hours.

The waiters come to your table and carve the various meats straight on to your plate. And they keep on coming.

It seems that people have had a mixed experience with the food but we were happy enough although we could have done with some more sides - not that we had room for them!

If you like your meat and want a lively experience that is a bit different to your normal restaurant then this is the place to go.

Very disappointing, terrible service and bland food.

We attended for lunch on Sunday 8th January without a reservation. The cashier/ door hostess was abrupt and gave the impression that they were booked out. After much mutterings and further curtness she decided we would be allowed to stay, an honour and privilege well above what we deserved. She never explained what the procedures were, set prices etc. Set us down and walked off. She gave the impression that she had better things to do. First impressions indeed!

The general staff were polite but unfriendly with exception of possibly the maître d’. The food was ordinary, chicken was flavourless, the three meats were bland and surprisingly not as tender as might be expected. The dessert taster was fantastic. Overall we found it to be unfriendly and overpriced at $108 for a 2 person Sunday lunch with one drink each.

False advertising of food availability on their menus, the meat carvers were holding back meat deliberately and didn't know the cuts of meat very well, the same meats were brought around over and over again. The sides were dry and appear twice cooked. It really wasn't an authentic Brazilian Churrasco experience at all.

We were going to be late, so I tried to call them to let them know. I tried for about 45 minutes literally calling, hanging up and call again, but always engaged. Really frustrating. They did call me 15 minutes after our booking time thankfully, while we were on our way, not knowing if we had a table when we got there.

Good range of meats, good side dishes, no chilli except for a dodgy late night kebab shop style chilli sauce. BYO Tabasco... Overall an average churrasco compared to the offerings in Sydney.

We attended Mundo as a large group and found the restaurant to be amazing. It is one of the best Brazilian BBQ Buffet I have been to for sometime now. The decor was gorgeous, the friendly efficient service, the continuous service of meat and sides are to die for. The drinks list is one of the cheapest around especially the cocktails and the Chilean wine was truly splendid. It was definitely great value overall.

To top the night off it was great to have a child friendly restaurant where children could colour, play with toys and watch tv. It truly is a great experience and I will recommend it to all my family and friends.

Awesome! We went to Mundo's on a Tuesday night (It was a public holiday. I booked online and got a confirmation straight away to say we were booked. It was a double date for me and my partner and my brother and his girlfriend and we all had an Amazing night.

We were totally satisfied with all aspects of the experience and absolutely loved the food. It was tender meat and so so tasty. We couldn't believe the less than happy reviews and can't believe they were at the same restaurant as us! It wasn't crowded, the staff were very attentive and explained to us exactly what we were eating. I have been to a very similar restaurant in Philladelphia last year when I was there and the food at Mundo's was brilliant and comparable, if not better.

We will definitely be back and will be recommending to ALll of our friends. I would eat here everyday if I could!

Exorbitant bar prices very expensive for a glorified roast without condiments or trimmings, meat was cooked ok service was poor, could not get through the first course before the next round of meat was on the plate way too much meat especially that late at night (8.00 pm) the room was very cool (I'm glad I wore a jacket). To sum up just a place you visit once as a novelty, definitely Not value for money!

We have been to your restaurant twice now we love the food so much, the value is more than excellent and the staff are helpful, attentive and pleasant (even remembering us from our first visit 3 weeks ago) all that makes the 2 hours we travelled from gympie worth it.
