I took the family to Morgans, never again This place does not qualify for the term restaurant. The ambience was appalling decore third rate and food overpriced overcooked and tasteless. I have had better chips at a football venue. The salmon was dry, and service was dreadful with an hour between entree and main. I would seriously strike this from any to visit list if contemplating eating out.

I've been a fan of Morgans for many years and having been living overseas for 7 years, it was on the top of my list for a refresher in Queensland seafood. I can't tell you how disappointed I was, we waited over 5 minutes to be seated in a restaurant that was almost empty, the service was slack with a Capital S. We should have walked out when we asked if the Barramundi we wanted could be grilled instead of fried. The answer from the waitress - a curt 'No' should have been a sign to walk out, a seafood restaurant that can't grill fish even when they're not busy!?

In summary, awful, tasteless, fried food, dreadfully over cooked and over fussy and extremely expensive. I'm happy to pay good dollars for good food but this experience was appalling. When we told the staff as much after being asked 'how was it' they tried to justify the experience by saying it is Fathers' Day tomorrow - still trying to work that one out again.

Won't be back and very disappointed to say goodbye to an old favourite.

If you get the jumbo platter, beware: it is enough to feed the cast of "Biggest Loser". Others here say the food's not great but I found it very good. As for ambience, hey it's Redcliffe, what do you expect. We'll be back.

Oily, over priced, flavourless. Note to self - when the entree tasting plate is tasteless cancel the order for the mains as it isn't going to get any better. Also worth mentioning is the shabby food preparation that explains why I have crab shell fragments in my throat now. Something described as crab meat should only contain crab meat, particularly when it is buried on somewhat soggy bruschetta. Bland boiled vegetables, almost void of colour, are something one may expect in a club, not served along side mains in excess of $37. Obviously won't be going back.

Great location on the marina. Very good fresh seafood, they own their own trawlers. Good value, wide selection. Wine list is not extensive but still has good labels. Service is usually quite good but you'll have to catch their eye sometimes as it can get busy. Ask for a table on the deck so you can look out over the water. The best value meals are the platters, they have a few of various sizes and composition, and are worth looking at. They have a fish and chip shop next to the restaurant and a fresh seafood market.

Once upon a time the service and value for money at this establishment was great, however, in recent times I have noticed the prices go up, while the food quality and service has gone down. The fish doesn't taste as fresh as it once did and the last 2 times I've eaten here I've found the staff to be short, both times forgetting part of my order without offering an apology. We won't be going back.
