Unlike most French restaurants, Montrachet has nothing snooty about it. It just has a self-assured and infectious vibe. Fresh and local produce are used to interpret the classics of French cuisine. Their wines are carefully selected, representing the best of various regions in France.

It is a real french restaurant, food is fresh and service is excellent, regardless how packed it is or expensive (for some), every one should experience this place.

The only place you will find better food is in France and good luck. Impeccable service, traditionally gorgeous surrounds and best of all - French cuisine to die for!

I ate here yesterday with some people from work. I was very much looking forward to it. It surpassed my expectations in relations to decor. It looks so much like a traditional French bistro. We took the waiters advice from the extensive wine list (the cheaper end but still $77) and the wine was wonderful. Shared an entree of Cuttlefish which when I first tried I thought they were a bit tough. The further I got into the meal they were excellent. I then had the steak and again at first I thought it was a little overdone but when you got into the thicker part it was perfect. The only slight downside I could say is the toilets. they are outside and on a hot day like yesterday you want to stay in AC whenever possible.

This place is unbelievably authentic - you feel as though you could walk out onto a Parisian street after eating here. It is buzzy, friendly without being too noisy. The food and wine is superbly French/European & totally indulgently delicious. The staff gorgeously attired and attentive without being imposing. Best restaurant ever!

For an "upmarket" restaurant it was a shock to see paper overlay on the tables! The tables are So close together, and the space is So crowded that it's impossible to have a normal conversation. Some of the food was great, but, unfortunately, some was very ordinary, esp the steak. And watch the bill when it arrives. We were overcharged by 30%!

Over-priced, particularly the entrees. I'm not sure how it is scoring so high for ambience given the poor layout with tables too close together. Food was great and so was the service but its definitely not value for money.

My favorite restaurant in Brisbane, best french restaurant in Brisbane. Atmosphere is great, you can feel like you are in France. My ex’s brother used to work in there as a chef so of course service was great, but other than that that is my favorite restaurant!
Food was brilliant. I order crub sffule for entrée and veal for main. Crub sffule is one of the signature dish there, it was just amazing, packed the all the crub flavour in there. I've never had such a great suffle. Veal was very tender and source was really great and good volume. My ex ordered lamb, I don’t like lamb but I really love rumb there, I will order the lamb if I had chance go there again.
You can experience great food and great service.
You can feel very good service even in toilet. They provide wet towel in the toilet, I've never seen such a service in Australian restaurant.

Menu was good and food was excellent. Venue is great and has a lot of atmosphere. Great for a special occasion. Just can't get past the price you pay for hearty french fayre. Why does it need to be so expensive?
