This place keeps winning awards, interesting enough they give you a $20 meal voucher if you vote for them, not sure if thats ethical or not. What can I say I've got a buy one get one free and still wouldn't return. Had a banquet for 4, the entrees so so but no one ate the fish cakes, they would have made good squash balls.

The mains, they dumped everything on the table at the same time so we were juggling plates everywhere. We actually fought over who wasn't going to take the left overs home. Sadly, I lost. ps even my dog didn't eat the leftovers.

Came here after visiting their other restaurant Golden Buddha and was surprised to find the restaurant very busy, definitely book in advance. Food, however, came out without much of a wait and service was very friendly. I think a true test of a Thai restaurant is by their Massaman and Mons' didn't disappoint. The crab special with sweet and spicy sauce was also delicious. Can sure see why they win all the awards.

The food didn't live up to the rave reviews. It was okay but very mild especially the larb which should be tangy and tasty. The service was incredibly slow and inattentive, had to go and attract attention twice. Not worth the drive over the river!

Green curry (Gaeng Keow Wahn) was the mildest ever, and tasted sugary sweet, it is meant to be Thai hot and spicy. At check-out we were told that we had to request level of chilli when ordering, however, the waitress had not informed us when taking our orders.

Entrees (fish cakes with lemongrass and deep fried calamari) and soups (tom yum goong and tom yum gai) were tasty. Other main dishes (Gaeng Panang and Pad Khing) were acceptable though somewhat bland to our seasoned palettes. The Chu Chee Talay (stir-fried mixed seafood) dish was tangy and nice. The dishes were well presented, with a reasonable Thai flavour but lacking bite (not the real McCoy though), could be more authentic.

Overall, our group of 5 had a pleasant dining experience in the courtyard section of the restaurant on the evening of Sunday 23 August 2009.

Yum! Went here on the recommendation of a friend, and was not disappointed. Had the Massaman curry, and it was just perfect. Though we suspect that maybe it was a bit saltier than it tasted, because we were left searching for water for a while after the meal, but other than that it was just beautiful. One meal plenty for two, and their spring rolls weren't too shabby either. Will definitely go back.

Having been to Thailand, I was very excited to try Mons having heard good things. I was not let down, the mixed Seafood Chu Chee curry I had was absolutely fantastic! My husband has dietary requirements and the staff were very accommodating and helpful too.

I was very disappointed in this restaurant - prawn cakes looked and tasted like hash browns, dim sims were cold. The stirfry beef with red curry paste was very nice though. Thai Mali is still the best Thai restaurant in Brisbane if you ask me.

Absolutely fantastic food! Having been to Thailand itself the flavors and look of the currys are very similar to the real thing. Would definitely recommend the pumpkin curry, a fantastic take on a traditional red curry.

Lovely food, some interesting dishes, great service. A little more expensive than average Thai restaurants.

Fantastic restaurant and unusual layout. Food was excellent but specify your chilly requirements. No wonder this restaurant wins awards.
