The food was amazing! We had 6 different tapas (mushrooms, meatballs, tortilla, patatas bravas, calamari and sardines) and the paella for 2 to share amongst the 3 of us, and we had no complaints whatsoever. I didn't try the sardines because I don't usually like them, but everything I tried was delicious. Everything was cooked just right, and very very tasty. I loved the homemade alioli, and the crab in the paella, but I just can't pick a favourite dish, because they were all so good! Also, the timing with the serving was perfect. As we finished one or two plates of tapas, the next serving was just arriving at the table.
When you go, you must try the sangria. It was beautifully fruity and I could've had the whole jug to myself! The service was also fantastic. The male waiter was very polite, friendly and professional, and he seems to really enjoy his job.
The atmosphere was great, and the little courtyard that our table was in was very cute, and complete with a candle. My parents, who have both lived in Spain and met each other there, said it felt like they were in Spain.
You can see the Spanish owner and head chef cooking in the kitchen, so you know it's the real thing, and that they're not hiding what they're doing away from their customers' eyes. Overall, it was an amazing and faultless evening. Miro's is definitely on my favourite restaurants list, and I'm waiting for the next opportunity to go back! Try it!

We were seated in an annex which had an unattractive ambience e.g. mildew on the plastic. The car park behind the restaurant was dark and parking made difficult by a staff member's scooter parked amongst patron's cars. Food was reasonable, but avoid the paella, mostly rice with a sprinkling of chewey mussels.

Worst experience, stinking hot, one a small fan. we arrive at scheduled time prior to at least 6 other larger groups (my partner and myself) not once were we asked for a drink order, all other tables were served both drinks and food. Finally we had to get up and ask for service, and got drinks 45 minutes later they took our meal orders. sangria was gross. It was by no means busy. All seafood was definately not fresh. Once we finished our first drink they came back to get empty glasses but didnt ask for other drinks every time we tried to get attention they just walked away. I would never ever go back there again. When we went to pay it took them 10 minutes to work out where the bill was so I threw $40 on the table and walked out- $40 was less than half they were charging and double what they deserved.

We popped in on New Year's Eve as we were heading to the Powerhouse later on. Food was quite good. Recommend the Chorizo with chickpeas, the sauce and spices were lovely. We were forewarned about the service so we basically hounded them to ensure everything went smoothly (in the most pleasant way as possible of course!). They were definitely forgetful but the food and coffee was nice and they squeezed us in with a very last minute booking.

My fiancé and I dined here last week for my 40th birthday and we won't be back. As soon as we walked in I felt the place had no ambience and the service was poor with only one waitress caring for several tables. They were out of the 2 beers that my fiancé wanted. We then had the Sangria, which tasted like cough mixture.
The bread was too oily and the tapas whitebait was too much and too greasy. So much so that we had to pack up the Paella in 'doggy bags' to take home as I felt too sick and we had to go home early. Very disappointing! When we had the paella the next night at home, we found many small bones in it from the chicken. Not impressed! Won't be back and won't be recommending it to anyone!

If you want a genuine Spanish food experience this is the place. The food is cooked to perfection and tastes just as good. I went to this restaurant with scepticism having read the reviews on this web page but I must tell you that I was more than pleasantly surprised. The waitress was very helpful and always with a smile on her face. Admittedly the tables are normal restaurant size tables and if you order a number of tapas you should expect that it will fill quickly, this should be expected but it doesn’t make it any less enjoyable.
This restaurant has become one of my favourites and I will be returning more than once and introducing others to it. Well done Miros you should be commended.

I went with a couple of friend and ordered the biggest Paella we had ever seen. Incredibly tasty, with fresh ingredients. We sat in the undercover outdoors area and found the ambience very homely. Loved the food so I would go back again.

My wife and I went to Miro's and on entering found the seniro staff/kitchen staff? behind the counter. He knew we were there, but didn't even bother to look up. We stood there for some minutes taking in the grubby surrounds until a waitress eventually appeared. She seated us in a traffic area in front of the bar at a small table with uncomfortable chairs.
We ordered what we thought was enough tapas food for two and she then tried to suggest that we also have a main course which we didn't want. The tapas offerings give new meaning to the term 'ordinary' in both quality and taste. If one were to go through the menu with wine don't expect to get out of it for less than around $180 for two. Given the surly manner of the owner it was a very poor light meal for which we paid $89 with a bottle of quite nasty spanish wine from the middle of the wine list.
The food was rushed to us and the whole experience took less than half an hour. Not recommended.

I booked to come in on May the 9th at 7:30 for a table for three I had been several years ago and had a good experience and was looking forward to it as it was booked to celebrate myself and boyfriends birthday my mother also joined us. On arrival I spoke to a lady? who had no idea at all what was going on and her english was terrible I told her I had reserved a table for 3 under the name martin she looked at the book and told me outrightly that I had cancelled the booking that day apparently she had called me and I had returned her call telling her I wanted to cancel my booking, she asked for my phone number which she I gave her and noticed overlooking had been scrawled out of the book.
Being someone who myself has worked in the customer service industry for the last 11-years plus a cafe for the last 5 months was a little angry and even angrier when she then just stood looking at the book talking to herself then looking back at us hoping we would just leave, you would think she would have tried to arrange a table for us as my boyfriend had sussed it out and discovered there where several tables free she didn't then went off to speak to another waitress who also did not help she then went to another gentlemen who may have been on duty manager who also seemed to do nothing about our situation.
You would think in a situation like this you would get an apology and maybe a discount off our next visit we got nothing of the sort the waitress continued to just keep staring at the appointment book and muttering to herself, at this point I was furious and stormed out, I have never experienced such disappointing service in my entire life, Mcdonalds gives you better service.
Even though several years before I had a great experience due to this one I will never go back there and will recommend people to not go there, I was infuriated to say the least.

I must say that I'm quite surprised at the previous reviews. I had a really special night there last night and the service was great. It was raining and cold, but the wait staff quickly made us feel comfortable and warm.
I want to apply to become Spanish. I'm a novice to Spanish food apart from an addiction to hot smoked Spanish paprika. I was introducing new friends to old ones... both couples are keen eaters.
My Brisbane friends suggested Miros. Great choice! Even though it was pouring rain, we felt quite cosy in the annex. We were hopeless at ordering!! Talking too much... But it worked out well. We ordered and ate lots of the tapas dishes and the paella. Lucky for us the kitchen was much wiser than us and sent out food in a good progression.
This is good, honest food made with love and passion with great ingredients, served by people that enjoy what they do. My favs were the potatas bravas (?) salad, sardines, paella, chorizo..... it was all good. The mouthful of the caramel custard dessert stolen from the kid's plate was also magic.
Go there! We paid $55 per head, but we didn't include the kids in the dividing (they are not earning, so that's only fair and we did steal their desserts). There were a couple of drinks and corkage as well. Corkage is $4.00 per person rather than per bottle. I find that OK, but if you are sharing a bottle between 2... maybe you should negotiate.
