I have been here once a month (at least!) with an eating partner, a small group or a large group (10+) and have not been disappointed once! I've eaten everything off almost every menu they've had and been blown away by the perfection of flavours, generous servings, the value for money and the warm, attentive and smiling service.
I've been going here since before it was 'cool' and am pleased (and sad) that I now have to book in advance to get a seat. Don't eat lunch that day if you're going for dinner, and splash out on at least 4 courses (entree, mains, desserts and cheese, the gorgonzola dolce is wonderful). Head in on a weeknight and skip the crowds.
The chef's obvious passion for local ingredients shines through, but the food is unpretentious. It's a warm, cosy and intimate restaurant with heart and soul, tucked away on the main street in Toowong but once inside, you'll forget all that!
My top pick is always the pasta (esp gnocchi!) - it's handmade and the sauces are to die for. Having said that, I'm a sucker for the specials, the ragouts are standout and always the freshest and most gorgeous seasonal produce.
You won't go wrong, good value, stunningly delicious food, man sized serves and wonderful service.

I read the overwhelmingly positive reviews for Mariosarti and was prompted to try this pace for myself, and we were very very disappointed! The most accurate words to describe the food are plain, flavourless and really below par. I am somewhat baffled with the praise for this place from others as the food is nothing like what is described in the previous reviews. Would definitely not return here even if the meals were half the price.

We waited an hour and a half for our food, and we given lame excuses when asked where it was. It was like the waiter didn't think I could read a clock!
Serving portions were tiny and food was nothing special considering the amount of time they took to serve it to us.
Extremely over priced, and definitely not value for money. Was hardly Italian aldente by any means. Will never return to this restaurant again.

We attended a special dinner with beer and food matching. The combination was stunning and the staff went out of their way to look after one of our number who was allergic to one of the courses, providing her with a substitute without having asked for one.
We are looking forward to a "normal" return visit to celebrate a 70s plus birthday and even more to a wine and food matching dinner when next offered. I hope it is soon!

A little expensive, but Mario certainly loves his work. I ate here a few times on business, can charge back to Toowong Central Motel. Food was really very nice. Service was very good.
