I ♥ Mado's! Yummy food, fast service, nice atmosphere. Waitresses were very friendly, owner was friendly and came over for a chat. We also gave smoking the Grape Shisha a go after dinner, we had good fun and it was Delicious! We will definitely go back again.

That place is really like your home. Firstly, it is hard to decide which is better: the food, the atmoshpere or the service!
The decore and the one turkish singer just made us feel like we were in Turkey again. But then I learned just he was playing just every Thursday and Sunday. However, belly dancer was amazing, You can see every Friday and Saturday.
The food is exceptional, I watched the chef making my pide with ease and confidence while having a chat with me on a busy Saturday evening. The size of the meals are unreal but make sure that you are able to have some baklava and some turkis coffee at the end of your meal. There was lots of cocktails and a few turkish drinks on the menu too.
The service was fantastic, fast, polite and professional and the manager (?). I have never seen anybody before who could carry 4 meals on his arm at the same time and still smile and joke around. Will be back! Thanks for the Mado team.
Highly Recommended for families.

Ate with friends from down south, they liked it a lot, the music was a bit loud, even for us.

I was dreaming about the Sultan's Delight (a lamb dish in a eggplant puree) for days. It was sublime and a second visit just confirmed it.
The food is superbly cooked with delightful flavours. The starters are simple but fresh, either olives, capsicum etc or a range of dips and the mains represent the best Turkish we've had in Brisbane. As well as the Sultan's Delight, there's a cheese and spinach pide which will stay with you for a while. Take a bunch of friends and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The restaurant takes its name from an ice cream joint in Turkey where the house specialty is an ice cream you can chew.
Both times we've been there they haven't had any so we're going back (might have some Sultan's Delight, too). The wine list is limited but it's BYO.

We ate in a large group here (we booked ahead) and we received warm greeting and good seats in a comfortable corner with cushions. The decor was beautiful and featured many interesting antiques as well.
The service was friendly and efficient and they did well on a busy night. We received our meals after about 25 minutes. Some meals were not as warm as they could have been but it was ok as the food was good. We tried many dishes, the lamb and yogurt was tasty and tender lamb too. My Moussaka was just a pile of mince really, but it tasted alright. The food presentation was not great but it all tasted decent, especially the grilled chicken was tender and tasty.
The night's ambience went downhill a little when the belly dancer appeared. Nothing wrong with the belly dancer (maybe a cliche though in Turkish place), she was good, but the music was incredibly loud we could not even hear or think. Quite a few who had finished their meals left prompty rather than linger for coffee etc due to the music volume.
Prices were a little high (about $22 a main) but the portions were good. Worth a try but don't rush in, the food is not bad, staff are good but please less volume on the music.

We went there for my sun's Birthday and the meals were delicious and the service was exceptional. We felt very relaxed and comfortable. I loved the inside decorations. Very creative. The manager came around to each table and asked if we enjoyed our meals. There was entertainment a belly dancer and people that had their birthday were encouraged to join in. I love the entertainment when we were there. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys turkish food and entertainment.

Worst ever dining experience in Brisbane. Wheelchair accessibility is good but then we were ignored for an hour by 2 different waitstaff while they served all around us who arrived after us. Made us feel invisible and awkward, when we finally ordered no apology, they forgot one item, everything came out at differing times, one of us had finished our meal before someone elses arrived.
Food was bland. Salad was torn iceberg lettuce with supermarket sliced tomatoes. Yuk! The other Turkish restaurant at Southbank has tastier, cheaper food with much better service. Never going back to Mado.

We tried Mado a few years ago and were disappointed. Given we were invited to the restaurant as a surprise for close friends, we didn't want to miss the dinner.
Sadly Mado lived up to all our previous expectations. 2 tables of 10 people. Orders were taken as two tables so as to reduce confusion. It failed. Our meals arrived over a period of 45 minutes, leaving some at either table receiving the wrong meal, or nothing at all until others at the table were finished and ready for coffee.
The staff could not speak english well enough understand the menu, and we were left wondering whether what we asked for was what we received. With several members of the party with severe allergies, we were told in no uncertain terms that changes to the food items would be made. ie/ they would not serve a dish without the yoghurt dollop on top. How difficult is it to put it in a side dish, or not put it on at all is beyond me.
We will not be back at all, nor could we recommend the restaurant to anyone. Its overpriced, undermanned, and completely amateur.
