We had been recommended this place as were were going to Brisbane for a couple of nights and wanted a couple of good eateries to visit the day before the place we were pointed to was fabulous. So tonight we went to The London Club! I should have known this place was going to be a disaster as we did try to book this place the week earlier but the call kept going through to the kitchen and they just kept taking the phone of the receiver and leaving it on the side so you could hear everything going on including crashing pots and pans!

So I gave up and decided I would just turn up as I was calling on valentines day and they were obviously to busy to answer the phone. We got there and was greeted but the only good thing about this place which was the waiter who was charming and attentive and you could see the embarrassment when just after we had just sat down, ordered a beer and was waiting for our friend to arrive he had to ask us at 7.15 to order or food as the kitchens want to close!

It was 7.15 for god sake they advertise they are open to 10.30 on Sundays! I understand you can have a quiet night but that's not my fault we have come from Sydney and decided on eating with you! We ordered a selection of tapas which sounded yummy! How wrong we was no flavor, under seasoned cold. Sorry guys your urgency to knock off ruined our night and it showed in the food! Should you really be working in food if you clearly have something better to do!

Apparently The London Club is a place to go. I'm not sure why. We went for brunch, which was very pleasant but nothing to write home about. The food was fresh and service friendly. Overall it was nice and average. I'll probably visit again when I'm next in the neighbourhood.

Was let down by the very, very, very long wait for the meals, then when one of the meals was sent back for not being up to standard, another 30 minute wait, after waiting half an hour for our tea and coffee, had to cancel, paid the bill and left. Ordered at 11:15 am, finally got our meals at 12:30 pm! What a let down, the food was delicious but sadly, that was the only positive!

Popped in for Brunch, then stayed for tapas and cocktails. What a great venue! We will be back again and again.

Today I had breakfast at this restaurant and when paying the bill found that we had been charged 50c extra for skinny milk in our coffees which I consider to be outrageous price gauging. I ordered the waffles with strawberries in Cointreu with chantilly cream, the waffle was light and fluffly but there were few strawberries which were tart and there was no discernable taste of Cointreu. The cream was aerated and served as a huge mound that was tasteless. Save your money and choose elsewhere.

My first visit to the London Club was good but went back last week and what a great experience! I had the chef's special which was fantastic! My wife had the fish and chips entree which was both delicious and great value for money. The girl who served us was lovely and very helpful in recommending a cocktail which was beautiful! Will definitely be visiting again soon!

I recently returned for a visit to the London Club only to be sorely disappointed. The food was fussy and overdone and the service woefull! How unfortunate as this used to be one of my favourite places to eat when I would come to Brisbane. I certainly won't be returning

Recently had lunch here, food was really good. But some more reasonably priced wines would be nice. There are plenty of good wines that could be priced in the $20-$30 bracket.

We ordered salt and pepper squid, and half way through found a hair in it. I informed the waiter, who took it back to the chef. No more was said about it, on the 5 or 6 occasions that he came back to collect our glasses and we were left wondering what on earth was going on? When it came time to pay, he presented us with the bill, walked away, then came back and told us that they'd taken the squid off the bill.

No apology, just a statement. We paid the bill, and as we were walking back we did the math and realized that they actually hadn't taken the squid off the bill, so we were charged for the half plate of squid that we had eaten with a hair in it! Absolutely abysmal.

Furthermore, we also ordered shoestring fries with aioli, they were awful and incredibly oily. I would have felt healthier and more satisfied if I'd ventured a trip to McDonalds. I like the set up of this place, and it has much potential, but falls flat in service and food quality, there are better places to go than here. I won't be giving them the satisfaction of my patronage again.
