Little Hong Kong BBQ Restaurant at Sunnybank is a one of a kind concept restaurant which sets a new benchmark in Asian cuisine in Brisbane. The food served is traditionally sold by street vendors and small restauranteurs in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. It is a form of “everyday food” for the ordinary man in the street and represents a living heritage of Asians today. You will feel like you are in Hong Kong with all the buzz happening all day long.
The strength of Little Hong Kong’s food proposition lies in its ingredient formulation and a highly organised fast track food preparation and cooking system that produce freshly cooked delicious dishes with little compromise on their traditional flavours that are often lost in commercial production. Underpinning the success of Little Hong Kong is the culinary knowledge and skills of Executive Chef Eric, Chef Michael, Chef David, Chef Sang, Chef Lao Ziong together with over 150 years of international culinary experience and the “best of original approach” that has gained popular acceptance.

Worst Customer Service Ever! I went on Sunday night. The restaurant was fully of dine in and take away people. However, those waitress rather stand near the counter and talk to each other than service the customer. It was extermely hard to get their attention for ordering, pay for the bill and anything. Never go back after that!

Little Hong Kong is interesting and the food is really quite good. I like the decor and something that is unique around the area. I also sampled Little Singapore and my short and sweet review can be read here:

Decor is interesting although the sitting area is rather cramped. Food is good quality, it's authentic and generous serving. A bit expensive for the type of food they serve.

I love the roast pork at Little HK. The roast pork I had was not that fat but really crispy. I read the reviews down here said the service was bad, but my experience with the staff wasn't that bad. I went there with my grandma and one of the girl helped my grandma to open the glass door. Their service was pretty quick, and they smiled, quite polite. But one thing, I wouldn't want to sit outside because the outdoor area is just too windy.

Went to this place with my fiancé and it was TERRIBLE! We were shown to a small corner of the restaurant and it was very cramped but hey, if the food is good, it will be worth it.
The only problem is that the food was very bad. We ordered a mix dish of crispy roast pork and crispy duck. The pork was definitely re-cooked and has a huge layer of fat, minimal meat. The duck was more bones than anything else. We felt as duped as the dish was expensive. We also ordered a dry noodle which tasted of bitter and off. I think it was the chemical they used to make the noodles crunchy but it hadn't been washed out. I will NEVER EVER go back there again, especially with so many other good eateries at the Sunnybank area.

Very good Cantonese food but the place is horrible, hard to find a convenient place to sit, but worth to go for the food.

Food is ok, I've been there three times and have found the service to be appalling on every occasion. The Hong Kong tea is nice. If the service improved then I probably would got here more often.

My experience at Little Hong Kong was unbelievable appalling, me and my girl friend went to the front door when the waiter showed us to our table after sitting for about 10 minutes waiting for a waiter/waitress to come to take our orders we finally got one waiter's attention and asked if we can order. He took out his pad and pen and said can you write your order here (pointing to his pad) and brings it to the counter when you’re finished. He left his pad and pen on the table and walked away" what the hell?", right there and then I wanted to get up and leave.
Then I guess he saw in our face expressions that we are not happy he came back and said oww ok "what you want hurry up". What a shocking service unbelievable. I told my partner lets go, since it was our first time eating here she said don't worry we ordered already. So we eat there, but would I eat there again "NEVER".

Last night I had dinner at Little Hong Kong with a group of friends. This was my second time to this restaurant. I must say that sitting outside with the wooden stools, out in the open reminds me very much of my dear Hong Kong. I ordered watermelon juice and they had sold out so settled for Hong Kong style ice tea.
We ordered a few dishes to share. We were keen to try dish No. 25 which was the '24k Gold Crispy Chicken'. We pointed out if they had marketed it properly they should put the '24k Gold Crispy Chicken' dish under No 24! lol
We ordered the traditional roast combo's - duck, crispy pork and char siew. And standard a plate of green veggies- kai lan. The crispy German pork belly sounded interesting so we ordered that. When we did get it, it was just another fancy name for crispy pork?! So we ended up with 2 serves. Why didn't the waitress say anything??
Everything came out pretty quick and out of all the dishes the No.25 '24k Gold Crispy Chicken' would have been the winner. I was still so disappointed that the roast duck and crispy pork and char siew was so oily and fatty!!! As my friend commented last time we were there "the fattiest BBQ pork in Chinese culinary history!' This was still very true!!
On the drive home, I started to feel really sick. The oil and the fat were too hard to digest. I got home and felt ill.

What a buzz at Little Hong Kong. Reminds me dearly Hong Kong with great food to match! Pleasant and interesting set up. What's more encouraging is that you can still enjoy the freshly made food especially BBQ Pork late night. Something that Brisbane is missing in comparison with Melbourne and Sydney. I overheard that they are opening another one in the city about 3 weeks. I believe it is near Charlotte St. Can't wait to tantalise my tastebuds!!
