What a disapointment! It took over 45 minutes to receive a bottle of wine, which arrived warm! That was after our first order of drinks never arrived. We were told there would be a 30 minutes delay with the food, due to it being busy. An hour later our food finally arrived. The waiter was very very rude and argumentative. The food was good but it was pizza, not very hard. Would never suggest this place to anyone!

Dreadful service. We waited 1 1/4 hours for the main meal and part of it arrived to the table cold. Still waiting for bread to arrive, although we asked twice. We had finished our coffee before the dessert, which took another 1/2 hour to arrive. At least two other tables received their main meals before ours, although they arrived afterwards. Will not be returning to this restaurant.

Very good value for money. The food was great, all three of the meals we ordered looked, smelled and tasted fresh and fab. Only criticism was service. The wait staff were efficient and friendly, however, found it a little off putting when they passed out meals across the table rather than go to the side. The floor manager forgot my order for wine so iIwent drinkless through my main. This was all forgiven when the senior staff (who didn't introduce himself, just came over and began talking like an old friend, very confusing) didn't charge for our coffee. I will def return.

Food was lovely with a good range of options on the menu. Good value for money. Everyone was happy with their meal. Service was excellent. Unobtrusive but speedy. Little noisy but that is to be expected in such a lively, busy restaurant.

I have mixed feelings about La Dolce Vita. I had spaghetti Bolognese and I swear the chef must have been in love as the sauce was very sweet, must have dropped the sugar jar or something. The service has always been very consistent and the waiters are ready to serve. Little over priced for cafe cuisine...

The quintessential Brisbane Italian cafe.

Proprietor Joe Virzi has created a cosmopolitan masterpiece reminiscent of modern Rome in all its trappings and décor. Complimented aurally by music the likes of Italian-Pop patriach Eros Ramazzotti, the La Dolce Vita Caffe experience offers a primo culinary experience - not to mention the only decent dining experience in Brisbane past regular restaurant opening hours.

The coalescence of La Dolce Vita's young and old loyal patronage is epitomised by a very competitive fußball table with contending teams running to gamut from teenagers to octogenarians.

All of which contributes to a gregarious, beau monde atmosphere that wouldn't be out of place along Melbourne's revered Lygon Street.
