Situated adjacent to the lookout, Kuta Café has an informal atmosphere with sensational views of Brisbane. Offering a varied menu of ever popular food items complemented by a wide choice of chilled beverages, alcoholic drinks and sensational Grinders coffees and teas. Take a seat on the sun drenched terrace or choose to dine inside where floor to ceiling glass doors allow you to take in the views. There is also a quick serve ice cream area serving a range of popular scoop and packaged ice cream delights to add an extra element of indulgence.
Although the views are outstanding, keep your eyes open to the endless parade of native wildlife. Possums kookaburra's, magpies, scrub turkeys, lizards and snakes are but some of the wildlife that call Mt Coot-tha home. You'll also be part of the cast of the hundreds of people from Brisbane and around that world that descend on Mt Coot-tha throughout the day and night.

Went up to Kuta Cafe with my husband, mother and father in law plus my own parents and 3 children. Was served by Karan yes spelt with a A who when I asked about the menu was able to answer my questions as my mother is gluten free, was able to answer my questions as she was also cooking our meals. Even though cafe was busy and Karan was still serving other customers our meals came out all at the same time and were all of generous proportions.
And yes again it was Karan who brought out our meals, it was no problem for her to return to us three times as we requested extra sauce, small plates to divide our food up and extra serviettes. We had an excellent experience and will return when the family gets together again.

We visited on 28th March, by bus. After looking around and loving the location we had over 45 minutes before the return bus left, so we decided to have a Devonshire Tea at the Kuta Cafe. We ended up running for the bus!
The service was very very very slow. I eventually asked them if they had forgotten us and a waitress went off to enquire. She returned with 2 pots of stewed tea (had obviously been left somewhere for a while). 'Is that it?' she enquired. 'No, there should be scones and cream.' As she left I noticed my cup was filthy so asked her to change it. My wife's cup was also dirty but we didn't want to delay things as the bus left in 10 minutes.
She returned with scones and cream and a slightly cleaner cup. She explained that the marks were coffee stains. I didn't bother to mention that I knew that, and also knew that they come off if properly washed. 'Is that everything?' A quick glance at the table. 'No, shouldn't there be jam?' She went off and returned with 4 small prepacked jam packets which she dumped on the table.
By now we had about 7 minutes to drink 2 pots of tea and eat the scones and get to the bus stop. Incidentally the scones were square, obviously made elsewhere, cold, fairly flat, somewhat dry, and probably the worst scones I have been sold anywhere. Unfortunately, they were not the cheapest by a long way.
