I went onboard for the Sex and the City cruise in July and it was really awesome. Lots to do and a shopping mall on top floor, plus clairvoyants. Trivia, disco and lots of nice cocktails. My friends and I had an absolute ball. Hope to go on again soon.

We were on for Riverfire and loved it. We had a great view, good food and great atmosphere. Have also been on for lunch and it is great value for money. The food has improved since the new management took over. I will return again and again. I would recommend for people to go aboard the beautiful boats for lunch or dinner.

Fantastic night, beautiful cruise on lovely old style paddle wheeler. Very romantic atmosphere with great entertainment. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food offered huge value for money with all you can eat 3 course buffets with fresh seafood. Moreton Bay bugs were the freshest I’ve tasted in a long time. Enjoyed the seafood more than I did when at nearby 5 star hotel seafood buffet and the other dishes were better than I’ve tasted in one of Brisbane’s largest and busiest services clubs that I have also visited recently.

After reading another review on this site, I can say it just goes to show you can't please everyone. I took my wife and 2 children on the Kookaburra Queen for the same river fire and we had a wonderful time. Right from the time we booked our tickets in March everything went smoothly, booking staff were friendly and very professional even posting us our tickets to avoid queues on the night.

The captain was a gentle man greeting us as we boarded the boat, of course the boat looked a bit "work in progress" on the outside but you can see that they are working really hard to make it something realy special again, and I'm not a boat person but I can see it doesn't happen over night.

As for the food. Let me tell you I have been cruising on the Queens on and off in the last 12 years and have had some pretty average meals on board but times have changed. The seafood smorgasboard was magnificent and the buffet was definitely something new to the Queens, even the presentation was something to get excited about. Service was with a smile, and I will give a personal thank you to the hard working crew, it's like a small city in there and they never stop.

If I had to give a rating of 1 to 10, I would give the night a 9 and the 10 will be given when the final coat of paint goes on. If you want a great time on a beautiful boat with top notch food and staff to boot! then I would recommend the Kookaburra Queens to anybody. Big Big Thank you guys !!!

We cruised on the revamped Kookaburra River Queen earlier in August this year. It has been many years since we have cruised and had heard that there were some improvements. With new owners and a new chef the boats are looking like they used to years ago. The Seafood Buffet was exceptional with a wide variety of seafood and many other selections for our guest who was not a seafood lover. The staff were friendly, the duo playing were pleasant and the views were great. All in all we had a wonderful night and our guests were very impressed with the whole evening.

We were in the general dining area and for the price we couldn’t have asked for more. From our original booking everything was handled professionally and we will certainly be returning in the future.

Fantastic Paddlewheelers, great new chef, a credit to the new owners for lifting all services well above previous years. Very expensive renovations are underway on Kookaburra Queen No 1. Our friends are booking for their works Christmas party after our raving about the fresh seafood and fab service.
