Dining for two, we were seated promptly but served food anything but, despite ordering platters of entrees and sides rather than main meals. Musical entertainment plays loud cliches and makes conversation strained. When food arrived, quality and portion sizes did not reflect the price, lamb souvlaki had a dusty texture and was soaked in lemon to the point of bitterness, octopus was bland, a side dish of potatoes seemed to forget that potatoes is plural.

Staff are friendly, but do seem inexperienced. When I spoke to the senior staff afterwards, he was brusque and instantly defensive and overall seemed more concerned with the showmanship rather than quality of a restaurant. Potential clients should also be aware that this is an establishment with age-specific and time of day-specific menus, and as such is not suited to dining with a moderate appetite.

Quiet monday night having 3 friends for dinner. Food is fairly priced. Wine as well. Had a dozen oysters plus some side mezzes. Food did take some time to come out, but when it did it was great. Not very busy and the waitress was friendly. However, some confusion over wrong food being delivered to our table and a delay in my main as I watched everyone else eat put a dampener on the night and the overall score for this venue.

Too flipping loud! Sorry but if you want to get to know someone, do not go to this venue on a night when they have "entertainment". Conversation will be impossible. Crackers, loud music, all sorts of nonsense. Oh and they took far too long to serve our food, as in more than two hours. This was baffling to us as the kitchen was in view and there seemed to be plenty of chefs in there.

I would have walked out but we were with a group and someone's boss was paying. When the food came it was not exactly top notch. Awful experience. They seemed more concerned with gimmicks like waiters joining in the dancing and belly dancers than serving customers.

As me and my partner approached the front door on a Saturday night, there was a huge cue awaiting us, just to get a table. This is always a good sign I thought, but was not keen on waiting as we were hungry. However, within minutes, we were seated at a perfect spot on the back deck, over looking the city and Southbank pools etc. It was a great spot. The waitress soon was over, all enthusiastic and helpfull and full of smiles, even though it was clear she was rushed off her feet. She helped us chose our meals and made us feel really welcome.

The food took around 25 minutes to come out, which was a good time, seen as it was clearly 'rush hour' and we weren't disappointed with the food, full of flavor and a perfect portion (we had Mezethes and Lamb Souvlaki). We were then treated to a great feast of music and dancing, learning the Zorba along the way. The atmosphere was electric and everyone was on their feet having a dance. The belly dancer was a great touch, getting the crowd involved, along with the Boys Traditional greek dancing. We finished with a coffee each, and it was one of the best Coffee's we have had in while, a great match with the greek sweets on offer.

Overall, this was such an enjoyable night and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who enjoys the thrill of dining out. Credit to the all the staff for giving us a wonderful night.

Dined there with friends prior to attending a show at QPAC. The place was empty and we only had 4 people ordering mains. Took more than 30 minutes to come out. We enquired multiple times, as we were going to miss the show at QPAC.
Staff said that food was "ready" but still took another 5 minutes to reach our table. One of the mains was not put out so we asked if that was going to take longer. Wait staff said that they "only had two hands" then walked away.

Seafood basket was full of frozen style seafood as well as grapes and passionfruit. Not very greek. The chicken was scolding hot, hard and dry. As other people have said, there was more italian/general food than greek on the menu. With mains around the $27 - $30, you would expect some good food. We will not be going back.

A fantastic place to eat, this was our second visit. The free entertainment of traditional Greek and belly dancing is great fun and produces a vibrant atmosphere, you can also join in, as we did. More importantly the food is superb, and exceptional value. A mixture of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine ensured there was something for everyone on our table.

I had the lamb Slovaki, this was is to die for, it was so tender and cook perfectly. Most of our table had the seafood platter for one, although it would probably feed two, the calamari and fish was shared as there was so much to go around and was mouth watering. I also stole a meatball off a friends spaghetti plate, it was a gastronomical sensation and will be first on the list on my next visit.

The cocktail list is endless and the bar staff offer helpful advice if you have trouble selecting what to drink. The staff were very pleasant, professional and were very attentive to our needs. The waitress we had was absolutely delightful. The food arrived without mistake and within 30 minutes or so, an achievement considering the place was bursting at the seems.

Overall a fun restaurant that is inexpensive with great food and great staff. I would highly recommend Kapsali’s. A memorable evening out, one of the best restaurants in South Bank.

Staff were friendly but seemed to disappear after meals were ordered. The oyster kilpatrick had more bacon than oyster, the mezethes platter came with souvlaki that was not marinated and the octopus was burnt. The platter didn't really tickle my tastebuds.

I looked at the desserts through the glass window to find that the cakes looked at least 4 days old and that turned me off dessert altogether. I would not call it authentic greek food. I would not reccomend this place to a friend. This place would not last a week in Sydney or Melbourne!

Though toilets were clean and provided a change table which is handy for young parents.

Not the best service. Outdated ambience. Food is tasty but not exceptional. I would go there again though.

From the first moment we arrived, the customer service was well below dining service. Backpacker like quality staff with very little experience it would seem. Several of the staff stood in view of our table and were making comments about the choices our table had made. A simple request to substitute a particular food on the main plate became too much of a hard thing to do from both the staff and the kitchen staff.

When questioning the kitchen staff he too was obnoxious and rude claiming the two wait staff were far too busy to have to deal with my simple request. (Was not busy at all). If you appreciate at least feeling as though you can eat in a restaurant and be treated like a human being don't go here! Worst dining experience of my life!

Found that there was Italian food on the menu than greek food. Ordered the carbonara, it was just a pile of pasta and onions and watered down sauce.

It was also difficult to get the attention on staff members. It was not crowded, yet it took an hour or so to get our meals. We ordered a cheesecake as dessert (the ones on display!) and it came out 20 minutes later. Staff were friendly, but not very professional or attentive!
