Food is ok. Service is fairly slow. But the views over the River and Story Bridge are fantastic, which seems to be how they justify the inflated prices. A pleasant enough experience but I wouldn't put it on my 'must go to' list.
A pleasant night dining by the Brisbane river was badly marred by the woeful food! I had the Chicken Kamatsu, three lumps of dried out crumbed chicken with a clump of steamed rice, an interesting curry sauce but in such a miserly amount, barely a teaspoon, $27! I've had better chicken at the RSL for $5!
My son had a steak which he asked to be medium, it was tough, way over cooked and disappointing $36, my daughter had a Pad Thai and my wife had a warm duck salad both priced at amounts that entitled you to expect something better than the very average meals presented. We're not going there again!
Good location, very exposed and can be a little cold when the weather turns nasty, but great in summer.
Menu has variety, I always go for the duck salad, the Peking duck wraps are better in chinatown, crab & prawn rolls are good starters. For mains, I thought the salmon with wasabi mayonaise is nice, curry chicken katsu was good but not the same style as the Japanese, colleagues like the steaks but the pad thai was mediocre.
A little expensive for the food, service was hit & miss depending on how busy it is, but I guess you are paying for the potential views. Avoid Friday nights
Location is beautiful however the service is appaling. Our meals arrived ten minutes apart and cold. Wait staff were disinterested and ignorant. Food is not value for money. Overall, a fantastic location for drinks (although expensive) but definitely not recommended dining.
This is a good spot for drinks and some tasty fusion bar food but the actual restaurant part is a bit of a let down. There are better restaurants on all sides in this area although the seats over looking the river are worth snaring for the afternoon with a bottle of grange and some finger food.
