Il Forno is a boutique/funky wood-fired pizzeria serving a range of authentic Italian and modern style pizzas. Our bases are hand rolled using traditional Italian methods. Gluten free options are available.

We also serve a range of entrees, pastas, salads and desserts & coffee (which is roasted locally).

We are fully licensed, serving a selection of boutique and more well known beers, wines, bubbles and spirits.

Open Wed to Sun, 5pm til late
Booking are taken for groups of 6 or more only

Love this little local - my fav is the duck pizza & can't beat the thin bases cooked directly on the wood-fired oven. Recently tried their New Orleans style bread & butter pudding dessert special - so good! We'll be back tomorrow for their new wood-fired breaky.

The food looked nice, but after waiting for over an hour for our pizzas we gave up and left. Clueless staff. Really disappointed as I was really looking forward to eating. Maybe some experienced wait staff who don't ignore customers for 15 minutes before seating them would have improved my night. We may give them one last chance. An apology would have been nice though.

Terrible service, sat at a table for 10 minutes before being handed a menu. Meal arrived at the table 1 hour after ordering. Noisy, too many children, hard uncomfortable backless seats.

Went here for a Birthday recently. 14 people altogether. Service was good, the pizza great. Except the bases were a little flimsy to my liking. Working in wood fire pizza shops growing up, a great little trick Il Forno may want to try is taking the pizza off the tray for a few minutes before taking the pizza out to stiffen up the base. Remember! the base makes the pizza memorable. Besides that. Great place and will be sure to head back for some good pizza.

We all love this restaurant! The duck pizza is to die for, as is the Spanish red while Marco and Stuart always make the night memorable.

This is a great little pizzeria. A few tables inside and some more outside on the footpath with lots of cafe blinds if it rains. Have sat inside, outside and ordered lots of takeaways from here and they always deliver the goods. It's a pity it's not byo but you can't have everything.

This pizzeria is a little piece of Italy in the heart of Sandgate and in fact the pizzas are better than lots I've had in Italy. We had a table of 11 here one night and the service was exceptional. Keep up the good work guys.
