The name basically suits the rest of the place. A dated 1980's gimmick that only a true bogan with no imagination or taste would seek out!

Was very disappointed with the entire experience at the Hogs Breath in the city. The food took incredibly long to arrive considering the venue was only 15-20% full. Staff were not really friendly, did not smile and did not clean up the table after taking away plates. We were there for a birthday dinner, so when the cake was bought out there were several dirty plates left uncleared. The waitress then dumped a stack of plates and spoons on the table (which seemed a bit unclean eg oily finger prints on plates and bits of food on 1 plate.

Then after all that it took about 20 minutes from when we asked for the bill to when we got the bill. So overall I was not impressed. Oh and the steak tasted awful, could only eat 2 mouthfuls and the curly fries seemed to be the bottom of the bag left over bits eg small scraps of potato. I would not recommend this particular Hogs Breath to anyone!

Service was slower than a wet weekend even though the place was dead. They ran out of their famous 18 hour slow roasted prime rib. Subsequent food was mediocre, veggies not fully cooked, and taste was average. 10 minutes to get butter that was nuked to literally liquid form. Didn't get the drink we ordered. Took too long to wait for bill so we got it ourselves.

Unfriendly chick didn't smile, nor check signature on credit card. When asked if they could validate our parking, the reply was "we have signs everywhere saying we don't validate because we're not affiliated with the barracks." Oh really? Didn't see any signs. This restaurant idsappoint with a capital "S". 2 stars. 1 star rating is for the friendly girl that took our food order. 2nd star is for the air conditioning.

We went to Hogs Breath Cafe at Cleveland Queensland to celebrate my brother's birthday. We are a group of 9 (7 adults and 2 kids). We ordered 2 kids meal and 8 adult meal because the quantiity of the kids meal is very little.

When the kids meal servered, one of the kids does not like the kids meal and decided that he would eat the adult meal only. I ended up eating my own meal plus one kids meal. We also ordered some drinks. When one of the kids finished the kids meal, he asked where his drink was (kids meal comes with free drink and ice cream). We asked the waiter to bring the free soft drink for the kids meals.

The waiter went away and later a senior staff came to our table and asked if we had some "inquiry" about the kids meals. We told that senior staff that the meals were fine, the kids just wanted their free drinks and ice cream.

The senior staff explained that "the spirit of the kids meal is for kids to eat the meal with drink and ice cream" and "if an adult had the kids meal, the drink and ice cream will be charged at $2 extra."

I told the senior staff that the kids did not like the kids meal so I ended up eating two meals. But the kids would like to have their drink and ice cream now. I also explained to the manager that we did order 8 adult meals plus 2 kids meals. Besides, there are 2 kids in our group. In essence, we had ordered an extra adult meal for the kid. None of the adult ordered kids meal. I also said that regardless who ate which meal, at least they should served the drink and ice cream for the little kid who had eaten his kids meal.

The senior staff seemed to understand the situation and later on 2 kids drink and ice cream were served. Both kids had their drink and ice cream. My sister-in-law went to pay the bill. When we got home, I looked at the bill and realised that we have been charged $2 extra for the "free" kids drink and ice cream. Despite the drink and ice cream were consumed by the kids. Despite the senior staff was aware that we had ordered 8 adults meals and 2 kids meals for 7 adults and 2 kids.

We will never visit Hog's Breath again.

Great steak but worn out accompaniments. Best garlic bread in town. Desserts are all tired and boring. Reasonably priced, fun atmosphere, staff are great at Aspley but miserable at Petrie Terrace. Bench seating is very uncomfortable over the course of a meal. Their 'loyalty' programme is ridiculous, you have to pay to join and the benefits are minimal. Good place to go for atmosphere and great prime rib.

The staff at the Paddington Hogs Breath are rude, obnoxious and ruin the entire dining experience. Good food but would not go back to Paddington again!

If you havent heard of this chain restaurant, you've been living under the sea. The fun, young staff here can't overcome a menu that needs an injection of life. It's like your nans house, you know its all good, but if you want a suprise don't go. The steak is very good, but when we ordered a salad they said they didn't have any. Apparently its arrives prepared in bags. The atmosphere is OK, but wears thin after the second visit.
