Overview of Hanabi Fusion
What started out as dream, is now a reality for a group of friends who love food and enjoy the company of each other.
Based on this premise, that “good food is meant to be enjoyed and enjoyed with good friends”, Hanabi Fusion Restaurant was founded.
Together with our star chef Don, we invite you on a journey of subtle and bold flavours that will arouse your palette and provoke an emotional response. A journey that is heightened with each mouthful and an experience to be shared.
Whether dining in or takeaway, Hanabi Fusion Restaurant has something for everyone. Our food combines both Eastern and Western ideas to create simple, but creative contemporary dishes that are bound to please.
So why not invite a group of friends today for a casual dinner at our place?
“Eat, drink, laugh, cry… where ever the journey takes you!”
The portions for the mains and entrees are quite large. One should consider sharing your food. Ambience can be improved, as it is quite plain for a fusion restaurant. The flavours are interesting and appetizing. Soft Shell Crab dish is lovely, but not for the the weight watchers as it is quite oily. Crab claws and chicken clusters are also nice little ways to start your meal.
We live in Sydney and use Eatability regularly to find interesting restaurants (although til now slack on reviewing). It was because of this we chose Hanabi Fusion and we have to say it was disappointing. The crab claw puffs were fine but nothing out of the ordinary. The tuna sashimi had been frozen and so had lost its texture and one of our mains, the fireworks prawns (med), was so salty we could only eat half the dish. The eel was fine and the service pleasant but we would not return there nor recommend it to friends I'm afraid.
Food Presentation: 10. Portion size of all food servings: 10. Service: staff are very welcoming. The food was fresh and tasty. Drinks are large and have a good ice to beverage ratio. (great on a hot night). Overall: We will definitely return.
We shared entrees of crab claw puffs and chicken balls, both really delicious. Mains of Pork Teriyaki and Salmon were wonderful, the fireworks prawns (medium) was a bit hot for us, and the miso prawns was a little bland. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
There was a great range of seafood dishes on the menu, a few different meat dishes and I think there were vege options too. Most dishes had Japanese influences and a few Korean ones too. Might not be the best place for unadventurous kids or adults as no plain food options on menu. Dessert menu too adventurous for us.
Generous serves of tasty food, beautifully presented. Really friendly and efficient service. Good value.
This is eclectic fusion food, thoughtfully presented using quality ingredients. Hanabi is a neat, modern tableclothed restaurant. Our two entrees of seared scallops and crab claw puffs were balanced wonderfully with sweet potato mash and seaweed salad, a tasty introduction.
My main tempura salmon fillet was cooked to perfection and accompanied by pickled rice a surprisingly fragrant lime curry sauce an authentic flavour which I have tasted only in family cooked curries in Malaysia. My friend's grilled teriyaki eel was succulent and generous in serving size.
Unusual combinations in desserts but worth a try. Perhaps, some simple or more familiar offerings could be added to this part of the menu. Delicious quality fusion food, good value, good takeaway options.

We had a wonderful night at Hanabi Fusion celebrating a wedding anniversary. We ordered 8 or 9 different dishes on the menu and were extremely impressed with the suburb quality and value of each option.
The staff were wonderful, and their enthusiasm and high quality service made our dining experience a night to remember. A special thanks to Don, Ambrose and the wonderful staff of Hanabi Fusion who obviously take great pride in their restaurant, and so they should. We will definitely be returning soon.
Owner and head chef are both great men. Food was sensational. We tried the scallops and octopus balls for the entree and both were delicious and great value for money. For mains we had the soft shell crab which is awesome and a coral trout dish which was simple but still delicious. This place is great value for money, the kind of place you keep to yourself so it doesn't change (which I would have done if the owner and head chef weren't so awesome!).
Fantastic food - fresh and cooked to perfection! Delicious combinations of flavours and very authentic. A must for anyone that loves Japanese/Asian food. The blue shell crab is divine! We will definitely be back to try more dishes! Friendly staff - very welcoming and attentive. A great evening all round. Highly recommended!
I have been to the restaurant on a number of occasions and every single time I have not been disappointed. My dishes are always cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. The menu is inventive and tasteful, and each dish has been well thought out.
The wonderful and friendly service has also never failed to impress. Definitely one of the best places to spend a nice evening. What more could you ask for? My personal favourites are the soft shell crab and the salmon, very special dishes!
